Jackson, Michigan is a sad, depressing place. The mullet and its cousin, the femullet, are allowed to roam free and breed here, wild and unchecked. Ten years ago, maybe, the spirit of the 80's was alive and well here. It's been dying a slow, painful, agonizing death, however--and no kind of spirit's taken its place. This place is depressing to look at. The thing that passes for a 'mall' here has approximately ten stores, two of which are dollar stores, and a whole lot of empty spaces. The height of cool places? The ice cream parlour. No, I'm serious. There's nothing to do here except get ice cream. The thing that I used to love about this town was the fact that my grandparents had a Super Nintendo. Even long after SNES was old and dead, I loved playin' that thing, because the SNES just plain rocked. Apparently, though, they sold the SNES sometime in the last two years. There's nothing left here. There is absolutely nothing here, I swear. After a single day, I've seen all there is to see in this town: the mall, the ice cream parlour, the lone art supply store (!!!! more on this later ♥ ), the, uh, Go-Kart races, and the feed store. Yeah. So anyway, I mentioned the art supply store? I managed to snag a little bottle of India ink there, and two brushes just so I could work on chira-gift #2. I grabbed some opaque white watercolor-stuff, too, because I do so dearly love being able to highlight things. Anyway, so yeah, I got a full-sized version of chira-gift #2 completed in sketch form, then I inked it with the glorious, lovely India ink. I spent maybe three hours of my day sitting in the basement inkin' and coloring that puppy. Some of the ink smeared a bit when I colored it, which... is JUST a bit annoying. Argh. Argh argh argh. Anyway, I worked for a few hours, then Gramma came down, declaring we were going to get ice cream for supper!!111 (OMG SO HEALTHY!) ...then she demanded she see what I'd been working on. "Oh, come on, your Gramma wants to see! T__T!" ... Mind you, chira-gift #2 is most definitely a Ban x Ginji illust. Mind you, both Ban and Ginji ...Actually Look Like Guys (tm)! Uh, yeah. Yeah. ... Yeah.
