First, my icon rocks your socks. Even though, uh, I can't comment on anyone else's Blurty with it. I don't think I know anyone else ghetto enough to use one. Buh, my art classes are over. That seems so weird. x.X I had a great time in both classes ^^ But ... the time went so fast! Two weeks. Is. Not. Enough. I wanted more time to work on my animation (two weeks! X__x waugh!), more time to do figure drawing.... Gaaah.
India ink + brush = luv. I think ink and marker are now, officially, my new favorite mediums. I'm finally getting the hang of both, and I'm really pleased with how some of my art (in the aforementioned mediums) is turning out. The line variation you can get out of a brush is much freer and easier than what you can do with a pen. Yanno? Brushes just sort of agree with me more, although occasionally they'll split, or the line will start getting all feathery and weird when you don't want it to. If it does that, I just go back in later and clean it up with a black marker, haha. That tactic works surprisingly well, to tell the truth. ...Or, yanno, if I'm feeling a tad less lazy, I'll just clean it up with the brush. Er, either way. Yeah. Ink, from a bottle, is just so lovely to work with. *__* There's something about it that's just a lot nicer than using a ballpoint pen. Nib pens are fun, too, but I haven't managed to get quite comfortable with using them. They're not as user-friendly as brushes, IMO. Yeh. But honestly, ball-point pens (or gel pens, or whatever...) are nice enough, and they're handy for writing and stuff, but if you want to do art, they're not the way to go. :x...unless you're one of those people who does really, really cool stuff in ballpoint. Er, or unless you've got Micron pens, or something with really nice ink. Uh... but BESIDES those! e.e
(Wow, I wonder if anyone's still reading this? XD I'm rambling about INK, of all things.) Anyway, let's see... I'm working on a fairly big project at the moment, and it's actually nearing completion. Impressive, eh? Me actually getting close to something I have planned?! Is this a sign of the coming eschaton?! Gasp! Whatever shall we do?!
Okay, I'm getting stupid, sorry.
Anyhow, let's see. I went to Michael's yesterday. You know, the big-ass chain art supply store? I don't really like the chain much, but it's the closest store for artist supplies. The others I can think of are on the opposite side of Baltimore, which is, er, around 30-40 minutes away. Rather than, er, 10. So yeah. Unfortunately for the individually owned businesses, I'm NOT going to run around for an extra half an hour just so I can support them instead of KORPRIT AMERIKA. O teh no!!11 ...yeah. So anyway, I meant to Michael's with the sole intention of getting a picture of mine matted. It's been measured and a matte (sp?????) has been ordered, but it'll be a while until it gets here. Bleh. Anyway, so I went there JUST for that--and I left with four new Prismacolor markers and a few fine-tipped brushes. Go me! Yay for wasting money! I got a very nice light blue Prisma, by the way, and another skin tone. I also grabbed two grays, somewhere in the "cool gray" range. They're much truer than the 'French greys' (I own several of those :x) and look pretty nice. I think I got 70% and 30%? Somewhere around there? Eh, whatever. Grays, huzzah! ... The French gray colors are pretty nice if you want a sort of brownish gray, really. I used a French gray (don't remember which) to color Ban's hair... but you don't know what picture of Ban I'm talking about, so really, that doesn't matter. It will continue to not matter until several weeks from now. And then it'll only matter to one of you readers, so really, it doesn't matter very much that I mention it.
I must sound like a terribly pretentious dork today, huh? I don't know what's up, really. My writing's being stupid. MUST... SOUND... CASUAL...!
...No, never mind. Bah. (oh, and sorry for having not written much in a while. ...yeah.)

Your HARE DAEMON represents your passive, kindhearted, and honorable nature. Though you are occasionally shy with new people, friends admire your unshakable tranquility, even in the face of chaos.

So true. So true. Well, I can be a vicious sarcastic back-stabbing wench at time, but mostly I'm a very friendly, calm, laid-back person. ^^ That's my self-assessment, anyway. La la la. New art: Tah-dah! Pretty quick, just playing with ink & markers, but... XD I'm pretty proud of it anyway. Heh! (CTR's comment amuses me... XD) Not much else to say, so I'll end this here. WHOOHOO.
