Flying to me on wings [27 Feb 2005|04:40pm] Every time I read that—and especially those 3 letters—I remember how at right this very minute, he's there with you, how you look forward to meeting him so much, as if he's your de facto bf on holiday.  Every time I read that, I find myself trying not to care even though I know it drives me mad.  And every time I do that, it drives me a little further and further away from you. And every time I try to give it a chance again, for you to assauge my uncertainty about him, you continue driving me further and further away—not towards somebody else like it is for you, but further towards a point where I fear I really will just not care anymore. But I will not make you do what you demanded of me before, even though those were in the faraway past and this is in the present here and now, even though she never even knew of my blog but he reads yours religiously.  It has been written, and no deleting is going to make any difference. Today, a parcel arrived for me too! [03 Nov 2004|12:40am] [ mood | bouncy ] [ music | Maroon 5 – She Will Be Loved ] And inside was a familiar green bag: a Harrods bag! And inside was a not-so-familiar gold box.... Hmmm... now what could Patchi be? But of course I knew what Patchi was.  We chomped on it in April when we went to Harrods together.  It's the most almighty Lebanese chocolate I have ever tried (err... actually it's the only Lebanese chocolate I've ever tried, but ah well....) And inside the box was a simple card that meant a lot.  I always thought it's always the little things which mean more. Says it all, doesn't it? :) And below the card were lots of small little nuggets. Wah... look how they glitter in the golden box! There were big ones and smaller ones, square ones and cylindrical ones, gold ones, green ones, silver ones and pink ones. Hmmm... wonder which I should try first? Of course I immediately gobbled one down, and it was GOOD!  And I'm seriously wondering what this one would taste like.  100g of fine gold 9999? But in any case, this little box of love ain't cheap leh.  The chocs alone are already almost £20! I love you dear; thank you for the lovely box! :) 5 comments|post comment

AA's Observation of the Day [29 Jul 2004|03:49am] [ mood | adamant ] Imbibing alcohol and inhaling smoke with a problematic throat is a very bad idea.  Needless to say, inviting such a person to such a setting is concordantly not a very bright idea indeed. On that note, I really think guys who have to go to clubs to pick up girls are really very sad, shallow and very stupid.  These are probably the guys who either are so uninteresting that they can't pull a girl via more conservative or intellectual settings, or who are only interested in one kind of intercourse and it ain't textual.  Of all places, you try to pick up a girl an a place where it's too noisy for conversation and too cramped, so all you have going is to flash your money (and then maybe later your car), buy the girl drinks and hope that she'll be impressed or grateful enough to let you to hawk around her the rest of the night, continuously plying her with enough alcohol to uninhibit her reservations.  Or else if she's already sufficiently inebriated, you try rabba-ing her and see if she's non compos mentis enough to reciprocate.  But in the morning, it's anybody's guess what could happen once she regains her senses (that's if she even remembers you).  Even if she does want to continue the new-found 'friendship', what kind of connection/relationship would be whose first encounter is as dodgy as that?  If that is not sad, what is?  (But then again, the only kind of girls you can pick up by that method ought to be shallow and stupid too, so I guess that's where it's fair.) I have never done it and I don't see how or why others should. post comment
