Harlow pple.. hehe..
Mm.. I didn't mean in the last entry not to comment on my blogs leh.. y no comments wan? *sniff heh...
BTW.. Just visited my aunt's place.. n chatted w her god-daughter M.. She just came back from a SIF trip to Laos.. and told us all abt it.. woah such a long story. Anyway.. heard alot about what it is like.. Apparently she hadn't known the pple she wld b teamed with...(all dunno one another) but they became closer during e trip.. Mm.... She said must be able to adapt.. n have high level of tolerance. Think of worst scenerios so that when u r there, u wld think it's better than expected. N by that, she meant cockroaches running around, ice-cold bathing water, dirty n boring food, etc.. Woah. Didn't know that. Think I would scream or faint if i see a rat.
N imagine all sleeping together... no privacy.. to do anything.. Pple wld know if u tok in ur sleep or snore, etc..
Suddenly realised although it's easy to say, but actually my 'tolerance' level is quite low.. I know pple worse than mi tho.. like my cousins who wldnt even drink from cups in villages/kampongs, or sleep in the beds.... But i'm not that qin cai also ah.
Asked her wat they look for in interviews so tt i can look out for it if i go for them.. She was surprised by e qn, n said just b urself..not like going for some job interview.. Mainly they might not choose pple w medical history or allergies or pple who wld scream at cockroaches? Mm.. I like her mentality. She's from NAFA.. q passionate n fun-loving... Mm.. yah she said 'Nvmind wan, if get then go, dun get dun go loh, go next time. Dun need to think so much.' (i.e. no need to prepare) Mm wow. Does such a mindset work for mi?
mm.. Mainly I think this attitude of not bothering abt impressing people but just be what u r is cool.. It seems in sch, increasingly we r taught to present our best sides to pple, or sides which u think they wld want to see. So sickening.
N her team, after coming back, set up their own volunteer club, and are linked to YEP and SIF.. so if they hv events/activities (like go overseas to do charity work , or locally) she wld tell mi.. mm.. cool.. so dun need to look for volunteer opportunities myself from nowhere liaoz if i want to go. hehe :) (Actually i wondered if im lazier abt such things liao. mm go n clean toilets ah..? :I )
BTW... who wants to go for blood donation? I'm not a saint or wat.. like suddenly seem to want to do these stuff.. but it's a coincidence. (oops distracted by bro asking maths question.)
Yah.. read that e blood bank is in need of A and O blood types.. and especially so in this period.. but cos they r facing q a bad shortage (esp over the festive season. who wld go n donate blood?), they are delaying some less urgent operations... N they went to the extend of asking Moms of new born babies to donate the blood of the umbilical cords or smthng.. So that they wld hv enuff for the operations to tide thru the period.. Mm.. even rcved a nice Bdae card from them (cos i donated once long time ago) and asked to be a regular donor or just come down n donate.. tho i disregarded e appeal at first. Mm.. but now feel q urged to go donate ? Who wants to go ? :P go w fren/s much less scary.. (last time i went w Ag. but it wasnt an intentional trip. long story.) hehe... hai i know my frens all v skinny..
Hope e rest of New year wld b good... aunties just came n dad cooked his hokkien mee n Hao jian again.. *slurp
