American Idol
I am watching the new season of American Idol and I must say that it hasnt been all that great. They havent taken many people from what I have watched.

I dont think that American Idol should be such an elitist show. They are so quick to say no to all the rocker people that go there to try out. I mean how come they cant get a chance to make it shine. I was so happy that guys like Constantine (sp) and Daughtery go up there and prove that there is still some good solid rock and hard rock people left in this world that havent been taken over by the whole rap scene.

I think that American Idol is a good concept but they shouldnt be so elitist. They are only going after all the pop/r & b singers instead of looking at all the genres of music.

Like for example, what if guys like Amon Amarth went to try out for this show. They would probably say that they dont have any talent and that they arent what they were looking for in musicians. Another example would be guys like In Flames or Soilwork. Hell what about guys like Ensierfum and the rest of the Folk/Viking metal genre. They wouldnt have a chance because the judges of American Idol are so elitist.

They always end up signing stupid ass pop singers that always end up becoming 1 hit wonders and then poof. They are no where to been seen for years until they choose to make a comeback into the music world.

alright I done. I just thought that I rant a little bit about American Idol. Feel free to add in your 2 cents or debate me about this.
