: a prayer for peace
Having family in Baghdad and seeing a growing number of soldiers and civilians from many nations dying every day in Iraq, i feel an urgent need to pray for peace. I am learning to put aside the anger on how we got to this very bad place, because it doesn't matter any more, it is not time to find blame or make accusations. With the anger now eliminated in my soul I find it easier to focus on peace. I can visualize a soft energy of healing covering the entire land and touching every soul that walks the earth in Iraq. I see each soul as a divine being, there is no labels attached, all are divine in the eyes of god. I feel a strong energy inside me, and i willing and lovingly let it flow freely and with the strongest intent that I have ever felt to let this divine energy flow from me to cover each and every soul. Even if it is for just one small moment, I intend for them to feel the comfort of peace and divine love.
my prayer is to those that are afraid and tormented in this very bad situation. To those that have no voice, to those that have lost their will, to those that have been hurt and want revenge, to those that are angry, to those that have lost, to those that believe strongly in their purpose, to those that are blinded by their cause, to those that just want to feel peace.
Even if it is for just a fleeting moment, I want them all, each and every one to feel the comfort of this divine loving energy in hopes that they will thirst for more.
