| More apartments. |

We've seen a total of nine apartments now, and we're going to see two more tomorrow. I don't know why it's so hard to find one that's just perfect.
We want a two-bedroom one or two bath apartment with a laundry room either inside the apartment or in the building. We want it to be on the first or second floor. We need a closed garage with space for at least one car. Other than that, everything is open.
So far we've only seen two apartments that match this description, and both were too far from where we want to live. |

I'm finished with my classes, finally. All that's left is waiting for the grades. I suppose I did alright.
We haven't found any apartment that's worth considering. Going to go looking again today and hopefully something will come up. |

| Almost over. |

Classes are almost over. The 24th is when I'm having my finals. I've been trying to find time to study, since the finals are so important, but work has been coming first lately.
We are going to look at apartments this Sunday. Hopefully we can find something close by, because of Emma's work and my college... and Emma wants to be close to her family. |

| We might be moving. |

We might be moving soon. Our stupid landlord wants to raise the rent, so we are going to look for another place. It's really about time. We've been talking about it for a while, but needed the motivation, I guess. |

| Another month and... |
|
|

In less than a month my classes will end.
I just had exams and I counted up my grades so far and it looks like I'm doing well enough. I did get a D on one exam, but even in that class everything averages out to a B.
Finals will be hard since they cover everything we studied over the whole term. |

| Another short update. |

Emma is going crazy about the new Harry Potter book coming out soon. I really want to read it too, but I'm not obsessing. She already has it reserved and everything.
Shoshana caught a cold so she is a pretty miserable baby right now. I just hope I don't catch it from her because I have exams and a ton of extra work that I don't know how I'm going to finish. |

I haven't been updating this journal at all, have I?
Real life has been crazy.
I can't wait to finish my classes because this schedule is pretty hard. I know it's just one day a week, but there's a lot of homework. And in my online class there is a lot of writing, usually an essay a week. I just wrote a five page one and honestly don't feel like writing anything else... |

| Update, but not a very long one. |

Emma hasn't been feeling well and she's staying with her mother so as not to infect the rest of us. Some kind of flu that's really bad. She has to go to the doctor tomorrow. :-(
I'm pretty tired today. I've been trying to catch up on work, which I've been neglecting as much as possible without being fired. |

| This is why... |
|
|
| February 23rd, 2003 at 7:06am |
| |
This is why it's hard to take three classes all on one day. I just had three exams yesterday! It was really crazy and exhausting. Actually, the worst was waiting between classes, since the exams didn't take as long as classes normally go for. Finding things you forgot to study at the last minute is not fun.
I hope I get my grades by next week.
Today we are going to visit some friends of ours who we just found out are moving out of the area. That's too bad because counting them we only know two young couples around here. And Emma is also friends with a single mom, but that doesn't count since that's Emma's friend and not mine. |

| Shoshana's birthday. |

|

I really can't believe it, but tomorrow my baby girl turns 1 year old.
We still haven't decided what we are going to do. Emma's mother wants us to go over there, but Emma's sister is sick with the flu so we are not going to.
We'll probably just have a quiet celebration at home and take lots of pictures. |

It's Emma's birthday today! We aren't doing anything much, just going to get together with her family and go out to a restaurant. Shoshana gets to stay home with a baby-sitter. :-) |

| Classes. |

Classes are keeping me pretty busy. This term I'm taking three "real" classes, all on Saturday, and one through the computer. I'm having exams in two weeks already, it's crazy...
I have to go see a guidance counselor on Monday. Figure out what other classes I'm going to need after these. I hope there aren't too many. |

I just can't seem to get on here to post more often.
I've been pretty busy. I'm a lot busier with work right now. I don't know why. Some kind of surge in business for the company I work for, I think. That's good for them, but I'm swamped! And my classes are pretty demanding. The online class especially, there's a lot of writing. I get it all done, but it takes time. That time has to come out of my free time, since I can't very well take time away from my daughter or from work.
Oh well, I'll manage. |

| Late. |
|
|
| January 19th, 2003 at 11:19pm |
| |
It's kind of late but I wanted to post a little something since I have not been writing here as much as I thought I would be. I just don't seem to be finding as much time for it. And my entries have been pretty short. I'll try to do better.
My classes yesteerday went pretty well. It is kind of hard to sit through three classes back to back. I have an hour break between the second and third so I was able to grab lunch. It's just hard to sit still for so long. One of the instructors seems way too eager to talk about herself. I get annoyed by that. But that material in the class was interesting, it's all about graphic design and using various software. That might come in handy sometime, even other than just for work. |

| About my classes. |

I just went to my first class yesterday. Actually, it's an online class but it will meet four times over the semester. Three times now that yesterday is done with. My other three classes are on Saturday, and they are not online. So I guess I'll be really busy on Saturdays. |

College starts again on Monday. I'm not looking forward to the work in particular, but it will be interesting at least. I'm kind of used to the whole college thing now. It's nice having another place to go to break up the typical routine. I guess that's one thing about working from home, you get bored with all the staying at home! |

| In other news. |

|

Emma brought up the idea of having another baby by 2004.
That's scary.
On the one hand I kind of see where she is going with it, since our daughter is almost a year old and we did have a talk a while back and decided we didn't want too many years between our kids if we had more than one.
On the other hand I don't know if we really need more than one. Or, what would be wrong with having another one in ten years?
I don't know, I think the old discussion needs to be had again. I don't remember anymore what our reasoning had been for wanting our kids spaced close together. |

| Already selling. |
|

Hmm, I was right. I've already sold two comics (well, they have bids anyway, and I didn't set a reserve so that means that they are pretty much sold, I guess). And I only have about ten listed so far since the scanning and descriptions take some time. |

| I'm giving up my comic book collection. |
|
|

Off it goes on eBay.
I feel sad. I've been collecting since I was about 8 years old and there are a lot of interesting comic books in there. I don't think any are particularly worth a lot, but they should sell for good prices, and the sheer number should mean that we'll have some extra cash.
The main reason I'm doing this is that this is something that I realize I don't need to be keeping. It takes up too much space and it isn't like I'll ever read them again.
It's just not a good feeling, I guess.
Maybe I'll feel better when I see the $$$. |

| The new year. |
|
|
| January 1st, 2003 at 11:24am |
| |
It's officially 2003 now.
My New Year Resolution is to get organized with work and reduce clutter. That's something I hope I'll be able to stick to. Working from home requires at least some degree of discipline, but my desk is a mess and it's starting to effect everything.
So today, TODAY, I'm going to clean it up and organize it.
How's THAT for a resolution. |

Amazing, the year is over. I wonder what 2003 will be like.
I guess it'll be pretty much the same, but there's just something about starting a new year that seems to be interesting and full of possibilities. |

We're almost done with our remodeling now. Yesterday we finished all of the painting and installed the new sink. Today we finished spackling. I guess that leaves the carpet and tiles. That's not going to be too hard.
I really wish we hadn't decided to tackle this right after the holidays. But it needed to be done and I suppose the sooner the better. |

I haven't had much free time lately. We are remodeling some parts of our place. Painting and spackling and changing tiles in the kitchen, changing the carpet in Shoshana's room, changing the sink in the bathroom. It's a lot of work. I think I'm not getting enough sleep. |

| Monday morning entry. |
|
|
| December 23rd, 2002 at 4:54am |
| |
We made it through yesterday without any problems.
Emma enjoyed visiting both her parents. They are divorced so it's hard for her to spend any time with them during holidays unless she visits them individually. Sometimes there just isn't time to do that. It's good that she was able to do that.
My visit was also okay, but Shoshana was fussy part of the time, I think from being woken up (by accident) too early while Emma and I were getting ready for her to leave.
The holiday show was kind of lame, but we enjoyed looking at the huge decorated tree and the music was okay.
Today we are both working. I've been working a temporary job at a furniture store just for the holidays, and today is the start of my last 10 days on the job. I end on Saturday the 5th. I'm not working this Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. But Emma is working on all three days, although less than part time on Wednesday and Thursday. |

| Almost-Sunday entry. |

I have a lot planned for today.
Emma has decided to visit her family, so we need to get her packed and on her way. She wants to leave by 8am on Sunday. She'll probably be back around 3pm or so.
At the same time I'm taking Shoshana and going to visit my family.
Then once we both get back from that, we are going to a holiday show that our city is doing. That's around 7pm. |

| Blindly following the crowd with this blog thing. |
|
|
| December 21st, 2002 at 12:04am |
| |
So, I've decided that a blog might be a good way to keep my homepage updated. After creating my homepage, I haven't really updated it at all. It's too much trouble to login to Geocities to make updates. This seems like more fun.
I'm creating this blog for all you people from Yahoo Groups, MSN Groups, and EZ Board. It's not really meant for anyone else, so I won't bother with an introduction. If someone else has accidentally stumbled onto this blog, they can always read my homepage.
Stay tuned for updates from Adrian, Emma, and Shoshana! |
