well, in two days I shall be in the new house.
And it's going to take ages to get adsl set up. well, apparently it takes up to 10 days :'(
So either I cope with using the computers in the uni library, or I find a modem and one a free trial CD of dial up somewhere.
I wonder if there are withdrawal symptoms?

I have so many flea bites and ant bites all over me, and they really itch at this time of night.
My legs and feet are particularly covered - I think I have about 25 bites in total.

This time next week I shall be seeing the Manics at MOVE!! yay!
(and also charlatans and REM and super furry animals and many others)
Work is getting a little arsey about me wanting days off.
I wanted tomorrow off, cos I'm going to see my grandparents (also driving up the motorway for the first time!)
which was fine until wednesday, when I got a phone call saying 'cant you come in at all? otherwise there'll only be one person in all day and she wont get a lunch break...'
Yes, a guilt trip. Bah. and I fell for it.
So I'm going in until 1, and then will have to rush to get out on time. arse.
I really dont think they've realised that I'm not going to be in for most of next week - from thursday until the following tuesday - cos of MOVE and seeing a certain boyfriend of mine
Officially I'm only a temp, so they cant really do anything about it. Although I dont like the way they're relying on me to cover rather than actually employ new staff. We need 2 saturday people and one 15hr part timer.
Yeah, its useful for me to earn the money, but if there were other staff then I wouldnt have to go in tomorrow, and I wouldnt have to feel used.

I think I want more holes.
I have 2 in each ear right now - which is what I always planned on having done.
Lips and labrets look so great - but I've been playing around with some fake jewellery and it would look really silly on me. Also parents would have a fit, as would my boss. bah
anyway, for a while I have been thinking about getting the top of my ear done.
Not seriously considering it yet, just a niggling thought.
It wouldnt look too outrageous, and probably wouldnt even be that obvious if I have my hair down.
anyone have theirs done?
I want to know how much it hurts (as its cartiledge blahblahblah) and if its likely to rub on my glasses. which would be a bad thing, cos I wear them all the time

And just as I thought, mum took one look at my tummy and decided that the two of us are going to the gym every week.
Pah. 9 months of too much pasta and not enough real excercise have done me no good.
But at least its not a beer belly!
Need to get sleep cycle back on track, as I start at work again next week.
Which isnt helped by me staying up till 3am this morning reading a book (The Dice Man, if you wanted to know - v. good so far)
(oh, and congrats to  beetourist on her degree!)

Every time a car pulls up outside I think its my dad.
Not so far. But I'm starting to feel a bit, well, weird about leaving. More tears later I would imagine. Ah well - I know I wont be the only one
This will be my last entry for a few days, I would think.

well, I woke up this morning and thought 'thats the last time I'll ever wake up in this room'
Need to start packing really - as last nights crisis prevented me from doing any then.
Would be up and packing now, but theres no hot water in my sink yet, so I thought I'd check emails etc first!
but I really dont want to have to see this room in its naked magnolia glory :(
empty rooms are horrible - they echo too much and have no soul.
I hope all my stuff will fit it the car...

I removed a few people who havent updated in ages. There are another 2 that dont update, but I'm reluctant to take them off. hmm.
Worth noting that several children who added me obviously dont read my journal, as I asked a while ago for them to remove me. No response. haha.
Or they could just be intentionally ignoring it.

today I have started to sort out my stuff ready to go home.
Nothing is actually packed as such yet, but I've thrown out a load of random bits of paper/crap that I dont really need.
I should really start to take stuff down off the walls, but I don't want to because it's going to look horrible and empty.
So that I shall do on tuesday.
Maybe I'll start putting some of my clothes into bags later

Bolognaise sauce should not be eaten straight from the jar
Especially not it its in a tortilla with really strong cheese and herbs
Above recipe will most likely make you feel like throwing up
Some people will quite happily roll (and smoke) a 'joint' made from notepaper and oregano/pepper
Above mixture smells very much like a certain other, slightly more illegal herb.

I'm going home on Tuesday. Which is going to be very strange.
Just looking around my room at the moment - its so obviously my room - all my crap all over the place. But in a few days time it will be back to the horrible empty magnolia room that I first saw last september.
The disgusting orange and brown blankets will be back on the bed, and my lovely cowprint duvet will be packed up in a box somewhere.
I have no idea where all the stuff will go once I get home! hmm.
I really should sort out getting addresses/ phone numbers of all my friends before they all leave.
Maybe I shall do that now

been to visit landlord today - and he says if we want broadband in the house next year we can!
also there's the possibility of getting a different house - same street (so still basic 2 up 2 down terrace) but with a loft conversion (computer/music room???) and a cellar.
Have to wait and see tho, because the people there at the moment are refusing to leave, and it all depends how long it takes to chuck them out!
