I just noticed its friday the 13th. So i figure I'll post my tribute.
For all you jumpy people out there, afraid of small things that go bump in the night who may think some small malicious or jokster sprite may take the chance to mess with you today, just remember: You're more likly to draw the attention of a mosquito then that of a sprite. You're really not that interesting. There is no curseon this day, and though i'm not claiming the supernatural doesn't exsist. I'm just saying that its not going to make a differance what day it is, if your demons don't torment you now they will not bother to come out just for today only to go back into hiding.
So have a ravishing Friday the 13th, and try not to get yourselves ravished.
Music... one of my favorite topics because it is so entrapped in every aspect of the lifes of humans. Even the cavemen had music. But I wonder if the cavemen's tastes in music differed as much as ours does today, people who like fast beat music playing with sticks hit on the ground (the first drummers?) People wondering at the humming sounds they could make the vibrations tickling their throats. Whistling through a blade of grass. No doubt they were quite the innovators. They used it to tell stories, attract that pretty cave girl over there, scare off demons and praise gods. How is it differant from today... now don't be a @$$hole of a realist and say the differance is obviously hundreds of years of evolution. What fun are you? If you go and say that you fail to remember things like going to church and singing your gods praises, you fail to note the exsistance of cult music and rock and roll, and what about those boy bands who seem to have girls flock to them for no real reason. How about all the people who love to drum... trust me there are huge freaky cults of them called drumlines.
Just sit back and give it a thought sometime, now is as good as any really. If you had lived back then what type of music would you love?
My first journal entry... it seems almost ironic that i am going to share myself with a bunch of random people who happen to stumble upon me. But such is life.
Me. What am I? I suppose my defining characteristics would be unseen, because physically I am just you're average american girl. Not stick thin but not too pudgy. A red head with a decent sprinkling of auburn and brown through it. You could walk by me on the street and unless you happen to be attracted to women in plain old bluejeans, or canvas pants and t-shirts, often smelling like horses, or the outdoors. I'd bet you wouldn't even give me a second glance. Except maybe if the smell bothered you, I happen to enjoy the smell of the outdoors and horses, so bah to you if you don't.
My better qualities are hidden, for few people bother to break through the surface and delve deeper. I consider their loss. But I suppose it is mine too, I have become too prejustice agianst some more closeminded groups of people. Its a sad thing. I've learned to love time to myself. I am a photographer, a lone hiker, poet, singer, writer, horseback rider. I've raised rabbits, chickens, Bernese Mountian Dogs, fish, you name it domestic or not and I've probably at least handled it.
