Holy Guests!!!!!!!!!!! If you've been watching the show lately, you have seen our plethora of guests!!!! We've had students from the Youngstown Academy of Excellence, Poland high School bridge builders, the Vindicator top 3 spelling contestants, and a published young poet!
And the guests continue!!!!!
Maybe you're wondering to yourself...how can I get on the show??? That's EASY! Call us 866-941-2030 or write us! Homework Express c/o YSU 1 University Plaza Youngstown, OH 44555
Also new at HX... Math Scene Investigation! Natasha and a few others have been seen around doing some illegal shout outs and John's on the case to find them! He had her once, questioning her in the investigation room but hasn't quite gotten a hold of her yet...Candi tried to identify the line up of usual suspects but she couldn't find the suspect!
Keep in mind...April Fools is fastly approaching...so watch out for the Shout Out Crew to be playing practical jokes on each other!
I will just say today...producing can be a tough job, ladies and gentleman! But it is a fun one, too! Our show has four producers...Tony, Mike, and yours truly, Lea and Natasha of the famed blog. It's a busy job! We head up the crew meetings, assign jobs to other crew members, write and copy scripts and basically put the whole show together! We're also in charge of all content so it's our job to come up with new and interesting segments, as well as shout out ideas. It's a job that keeps you on your toes, we'll say! We haven't updated the blog in so long!! And it's because we've been out on location and wrangling guests! Working very hard to ensure that YOU learn your math homework correctly AND enjoy the process! Producing is fun, especially with the great crew we have here at YSU. We are DEDICATED to your success!
With that said...TELL US YOU WANNA GUEST APPEAR! What's happening at your school? Are you an award winner? Are you in a contest? Have you brought your math grades up a letter? Are you doing something interesting outside of school???? Do you want a future in broadcasting and television???? Well HX is the place for you to be! You know how to contact us, you can leave a comment on the blog as well...Nothing is too crazy or obscure for Lea, Natasha and the rest of the crew at HX!
Now, the show must go on...
: ) | | Thursday, March 12th, 2009 | | 1:42 pm |

Loooong time, no see!!!!! Guys you have no idea what has been going on in this studio?
Lea and Natasha here and we've had people coming in and out of the studio since we last wrote and we've barely had enough time to catch our breath or give you a thorough rundown of the crew and our guests.
Three awesome math students from YSU came on the show explaining about the importance of math and gave you guys some advice on how do get that math homework done and keep going for achieving that A that we know you guys are striving for.
And of course you seen our own Cupid, visit the set for Valentines Day, to give Mike some love.LOLZ!
Natasha produced her first show last week. Woot! And did a great job. *Natasha bows*Thank you, thank you. And Thanks to the crew for their help. Not to mention she and I went to the Cleveland Science Center with Frank to see the Robots that are running around the museum. But the Science Center was cool. You guys gotta go to see Jeremiah, the robot avatar and his friends and see the gadgets that you can make of robots called the Jitterbugs. So call in see if you can win the Great Lakes Science center gift card and go there to check it out.

Hanging with the HX Crew!!!! Hey Guys !!
Lea and Natasha here to tell you about the awesome stuff that's been going on at HX.
First off, we got a special guest star on our show from the Harlem Globetrotter, Buckets Blakes. Even though Mike took him on to do the Shoutouts, Buckets was a good sport about it. And seriously the guy can play basketball.
The HX crew watched him balance a basket ball on his back, shoot hoops from half court, spin it on the tip of his fingers and even on his arms!!!
I heard that he used to flip his dad's hat over and shoot tennis balls through them. If you guys have hopes to be like Buckets or anyone of your favorite basketball stars, try doing that you never know what basketball team you might be on.^_^.
Not to mention Natasha got a chance, along with some other crew members, to see the Globetrotters at the Chevy Center in Youngstown. And honestly the entire Globetrotters gave an awesomazing performance. If you guys caught the action at your local sports center you would see it was something you would want to see again and again. So the next time the Globetrotters are in your area go check 'em out. We also have some pictures of Buckets on our website homeworkexpress.org so check them out as well.
Today's show we have the crew giving you an odd weather report for the frigid temperatures, the HX news crew is flying an experimental airplane, and oh yea, Kelly and the teachers are there to give you guys math help and prizes.
You don't want to miss this show. So tune in!!!
See you on the air guys!!! | | Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 | | 3:18 pm |
Keep the Party's GOING!! Hey guys! Lea and Natasha here. We haven't gone nowhere! So much stuff has gone on we have barely had a breather. If you seen last show, none other than Lea was hosting HX and we all agree she did an awesome job. Thanx, it was an great experience.
We have shoutouts, obscure holidays, math matters and even math inspired public announcements for you guys to see on today's show.
We've been hearing some of you guys our having HX party's!! Keep those things going guys! And keep calling in. Our most recent party update was from Jena who was one of our Express Guests on the show. We hope you and your friends had an awesome time!
And really if you guys our having HX parties, call in and let us know. Don't be shy to email us or give us a call.
Later guys.

SNOWED IN!! Hey guys! Lea and Natasha here giving you the rundown on HX!
Well, we're in our second week of the new season and already the snow is giving our crew a hard time. We know some of you guys may have been snowed in these last few days and it's no different on the set of HX. How are YOU guys doing out there?
Some of the ShoutOut crew is snowed in while Kenny gets a load of snow during an experiment. With all this snow, its no wonder the HX crew isn't frozen over. But no worries, we are still here ever ready to give YOU math homework help. So call in guys and stay warm!!!!
LATER! | | Thursday, January 8th, 2009 | | 1:59 pm |

Hey-looooow There's so much stuff going on in the studio we are quickly becoming a crew of one to many.
Lea's producing. Mike's Directing, and Melvin is.....DOING NOTHING!!
He is about to get impeached. Clear and simple.
Lea: Johnny had to salvage the ShoutOuts last show with his ShoutOut Rap because Melvin was nowhere to be found!! So what did you guys think about Johnny's performance? Personally Natasha couldn't stop laughing....
Natasha: It's true, Johnny was doing entirely too much, I was pretty much controllable fr a good 5 minutes. BUT it was entertaining.
Speaking of which, Liam from the Arithmatics will grace us with his presence hopefully next month for another show after allowing us to interview him. What's funny is he does resemble our own Tony Marr far too much, don't you think? He may be at your nearest concert hall soon. You never know.
But all in all keep tuning in guys and let us know what you think of th show.
See ya.
Lea & Natasha | | Thursday, November 20th, 2008 | | 1:54 pm |
Something's wrong here...... So yea..... The crew is sitting here waiting to do some shout outs, and Melvin is just standing there, Looking at us..... Waiting, I suppose for one of us to do something. And we're looking at him like "come on dude, your the president.Do something!" Melvin, doesn't say a word. He just stands there, like a dummy would.
I don't know guys our Shoutout President seems to be failing in his duties. If he keeps this up, we might have to impeach him. For the most part, give him the boot out of office. (Anybody got a boot?) What do you guys think?
Meanwhile, the crew is here in small numbers while Mike and Tony team up and go off to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame to give you guys an inside look.
But we will be here for you to call in and give us your math homework to help you guys out. And in mentioning calling in, we had our first parent caller simply known as Dad! Dad called in for his daughters math word problem. And Kristy helped him out. So thanks Dad for calling in so you could help your daughter. We're glad that you thought to call us.
So call us! Let us help ya out!!!
Later Lea and Natasha | | Friday, November 14th, 2008 | | 10:38 am |
HX Update!! You guys have sat and watched through election episode after episode and finally it's over...
Melvin the Mannequin has won your votes to run the Shout Outs and in surprise write in landslide!
Tony wasn't far behind, he had a lot of votes, but you the voters obviously Melvin would be the best candidate for the job. Congrats, Melvin and good luck on the remaining shows of the semester!
And speaking of, 2008 is coming to a close and pretty soon we'll start preparing for 2009! But first we have to get through Thanksgiving and Christmas and then we'll be good to go! Homework Express will be on hiatus for Winter Break starting after our Thursday December 11th show and we'll be back LIVE again on Tuesday January 6th. DON'T WORRY!!!! You will still be able to catch us "on the remix" as Kelly says, you can see previous shows...maybe you missed something...or maybe you want to hear yourself on TV! Well Winter Break is the perfect to catch up on your 15 minutes of fame...or however long it took the teachers to solve your problem.
Thursday's show was wild and out of control!!!!!! We were having Smart Board problems, phone problems...it's like Halloween all over again when the power went out!! I think we have a Homework Express ghost or poltergeist on the loose...we'll have to see what we can do to exterminate that pest! If you guys have any ideas, comment us here on the blog or shoot us an email, homeworkexpress@gmail.com. But really...leave a comment here so Dr. Crawford isn't bombarded with emails, she has a lot of jobs on the show already. She's a very busy lady and helps make the show run smooth!
So we've covered the Election...Winter Break...HX Poltergeist...All that's left are your calls and comments! Hit us up guys, we love to hear from you! Got Shout Outs ideas? Leave 'em here on the blog and you could see YOUR Shout Out of HX!
See "yins" again Tuesday! (that's what my grandma says) Lea and Natasha | | Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 | | 1:51 pm |
The Results are IN!!!!! Halloween is over as well as the creepy stuff that was going on in the studio for the show.(Hopefully) And exactly everything is back to normal for this new month.
It's November guys and while your parents and everyone is voting today....your votes are IN!!!! You WILL find out today who won in the SHOUTOUT ELECTION for 2008! Tony Marr or Mike Moliterno!!!
Keep your fingers crossed for your candidates guys. And don't forget to drop us a comment here on our Blog. So tune in today for help on your math homework, see what the crew has been up to and find out who won!!!
Take care guys!! | | Thursday, October 23rd, 2008 | | 2:20 pm |
The Race is getting heated!!!!! Hello, everyone! Lea and Natasha back to give you more!
If you saw Tuesday's show, you remember our first ever Shout Out Debate. Mike and Tony were getting heated and the callers started voting.
So far, we show Tony in the lead with 4 votes and Mike has 1.

Just wear your Halloween costume!
Well Homework Express is kicking off at 4:30, and we've got some stuff to do! We have Laura Nash in the studio and she's shooting a new spot today just for you! We've got new pieces we have to get loaded up so you can see them!
So let's skedaddle! There's work to be done!
Lea and Natasha : ) | | Tuesday, October 21st, 2008 | | 2:31 pm |
HX Musical is here! Lea and Natasha here to bring you another behind-the-scenes look at HX...
Today we'll hear the story of the Lonely Zero...in song! Mike Moliterno, today's producer, brings us the sad but heartwarming story of the Zero who felt unimportant. Then along comes One and cheers him up!
So guys how do you like the SMART board?
If you have never worked on one in your class room, just call us and see how the SMART board works. To tell you the truth, we still have no idea how long Robyn was playing around with it before we had to do the ShoutOuts. But it does provide more inventive ways for us to help you with your Math homework.
So give us a call guys!! | | Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 | | 2:15 pm |
SMARTboard is here!! Once again, Lea and Natasha here to bring you the latest gossip from behind the scenes of Homework Express...(drum roll please..)
SMARTBoard is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, SMARTBoard is finally on the set of Homework Express to bring you more entertainment and math help. Be patient with our crew though, PLEASE! Because we're still learning how to use it. HOPEFULLY nothing goes wrong. With that said, everyone knows Murphy's Law, right?
Of Course we have your ever present HX Crew on board ready to give you another awesome show.
From our producers coming up with more features from the Cleveland Zoo, Mathy Jobs, and Math Matters brought to you by our new junior teacher, Laura Nash; to our HX Shoutout and Streaming Crew getting in and out of problems just to help you get your homework done and SHOUTOUT to you!
There's not a place you cannot find the crew of HX.
One of the new additions to our show his Johnny, a Senior in Theatre here at YSU. And an awesome talent working on our SHOUTOUT crew. You might remember him as the guy that lost his voice on our previous show.....Yea, that guy. ^_^ But he brings the laughs and the fun to the HX crew that never stops.
By the way send us some comments on who you think should be the winning candidate for SHOUTOUTS based off their speeches:
Tony Marr or Mike Moliterno!!!!
We wanna know!! (And don't worry, you can vote anonymous......)
And speaking of which we gotta get going into the studio for today's SMART show.
Catch you on the air guys!!! | | Thursday, October 9th, 2008 | | 2:19 pm |
SMART BOARD IS HERE!!!! Lea and Natasha here, once again ya'll, with the latest scoop on HX!
Starting on Tuesday's show, we'll be using our new Smart Board! YAY!!!
If you never seen a Smart Board before, it's a giant LCD screen that can be used as a dry erase board but it's on a computer! It's bringing a whole new element to our show and you will see on Tuesday just how cool and different it is.
On today's show, we'll be bringing you more of Laura Nash and Math Matters and we'll check in with the Shout Out crew, as usual, because they're always up to no good. Johnny has his voice back, by the way. He was so funny, without his voice. He was gesturing and waving his hands around all...writing down his messages when possible. We'll also be learning about Moldy Cheese...eeewwwwww...
Do you guys have any ideas for the show? LET US KNOW! We want YOU to help us keep the show fresh and exciting. What do you wanna see? What can the Shout Out Crew do? Where can they go? What's going on at your school? We'll come feature it!

Adios Lea and Natasha | | Tuesday, October 7th, 2008 | | 3:29 pm |
New this week on HOMEWORK EXPRESS!!!! : ) Lea here : )
There is sooooo much going on in today's show! I just came from the studio-we were shooting a new segment for Math Matters with Laura Nash, and I'll tell you right now, it's pretty interesting. Tony and Mike made a new intro for the segment, and you will laugh your butt off once you see it!!!
Today's (not so) Obscure Holiday is World Smile Day : ) And smiling : ) is something we here at Homework Express know very well! We do our best to bring you math help and serve it with some laughter.
Also today: WILD ALPACAS!!! RUNNING LOOSE IN THE STUDIO!!!!! No kidding, one of them pooped on Tony's shoe. You should have seen the look on his face : ) But seriously, we'll be taking you on a trip to an Alpaca Farm today!
Right now as we speak, Natasha is on camera shooting today's Shout Outs so she's not here now, but she will be in later to update you guys on the latest HX news!
Usually behind the scenes, we goof around a lot. Dr. Owens teaches us to be as professional as possible, but sometimes we just can't help but be a little silly. No matter, we always get the work done, and it's quality and done in a timely manner.
Well on today's show, we have to be on our best behavior because we have a very important guest from the Schwabel Bread company. They are interested in our show and want to see it up close and personal! So just think about how serious we're being behind the lens today, and giggle a little for us, will ya? : P
All this plus all the math questions you can shake a stick at. Call in! Get some help! Win a prize! We've got some great ones, after all. AND you could get Xtra credit from your own math teacher...what is the down side to Homework Express???
See ya live @ 4:30, (I'll be on Camera 2) Lea : ) | | Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 | | 2:37 pm |
Rainy Days in October...... Natasha here and yes, guys its one of those cold days where you wanna just curl up and sleep.
BUT......how about getting some of that homework done instead?
That way you won't have those killer numbers interrupting your dreams and turning them into the ultimate math nightmare.
Yea maybe I'm exaggerating just a bit, but why not get that math homework done and out the way, so you can sit back and chillax. ^_^.
Anyway, the crew is her e in full swing ready to deliver you guys the viewer o more of your math homework help problems. So don't be afraid to call in guys. We are expecting your calls.
So tune in to see what crazy mess the Homework Express crew can get into.
Later! | | Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 | | 2:30 pm |
This week on Homework Express... HEEEYY guys, what's happening? Lea and Natasha back once again to fill you in on behind the scenes of Homework Express!!!
This just in, look out for a new character to appear on the show. We kinda told you last week but we now have confirmation that an Inspector Subtraction will be joining our crew to bring you more math help (that is also entertaining--we've heard he's kind of a funny guy)
We'll be airing some new segments this week also: Today is Checker's Day, today's Obscure Holiday! Watch Homework Express today at 4:30 to find out more. Also premiering this week: Math in Flight! We'll go into the cockpit of an airplane and show you what math has to do with flying an airplane.
Todays leaders: Tony is our director and Mike is our line producer. Their teamwork definitely ensures the success of our show! They (and Frank, too!) work very hard to bring Homework Express to YOU!!
Additionally, if you guys have ANY input on the show, ideas, anything, drop us an email or a comment or write us a letter!!! There are so many ways to get in contact with the show!

Hey guys we're back once again!
Who are we pray tell?
It's Lea and Natasha from the Homework Express crew ready to give you the 411 behind the scenes of homework express!
Kelly is back! The teachers are back! And we still have the answers for your math questions! We have field pieces, we have guests and tons of excitement in preparation for the 1st show of the season.
But what we need is YOU, the viewer to call in and give us your math questions to help you out!
So seriously give us a call, the phone lines are open and we are waiting for you!
Right now a Smart Board is in the works to be used on the show...
What's that?
Well a Smart Board will allow us here at Homework Express to incorporate more content into the show like little dancing cartoons and also give us capabilities of putting your problems up on the web!!!!!!!
We're also looking to make a Homework Express "mascot" or "character" to shake things up so look for a new crew member real soon to join Melvin the Mannequin!
And speaking of new members, we have new members too! Its the start of the new school year here at YSU and new people are interested in our show. Hopefully we'll get some ideas from them to keep the show fresh and entertaining!
Oh yeah---SHOUTOUTS!!!! Watch at the beginning of the show to see us shout out to your school. Our Shout Out Crew is always cooking up something goofy.
Well that's it for us now, watch our premier show TODAY at 4:30!! Comment! Feedback! We wanna know what you think. After all, this show is about YOU!!!!!!!
Peace. Natasha and Lea | | Friday, May 23rd, 2008 | | 2:08 pm |
Until the fall... ...there are no more live tapings of Homework Express! But all summer long, you can watch HX's "Best Of"! This could be your chance to see something you missed, including yourself! You can see countless segments, interviews, contests and math problems until we resume in September.
We will be back!!! We promise. Right now we're on summer vacation, too : D
