    Amnesia and its Treatment
Anterograde amnesia and retrograde amnesia are two main features of this disorder. Anterograde amnesia is when the person experiences difficulty learning new information after the event that triggered the amnesia. Retrograde amnesia is when a person has difficulty recalling events or information that they were previously familiar with before the event. Amnesia is most likely to affect recent memories, which is why most people who are living with amnesia experience issues with short-term memory loss.

Treatment for amnesia that is based on psychological causes tends to rely heavily upon counseling techniques, hypnotherapy and in some cases drug therapy. The idea is to help the person get past the stress, trauma or other psychological event that precipitated the blockage in memory.

    Treatment:

    1. Amnesia treatment for causes by physical sources is more problematic. Often physical causes of amnesia inflict physical damage to the brain itself. If the damage is severe enough them healing may not be possible. While the brain can recover from some damage given time and there are those examples of head trauma where the person recovers their memory after the brain has had time to adjust, often there is some amount of loss that is permanent.

    2. The most remarkable remedy for loss of memory or forgetfulness is the use of the herb rosemary, botanically known as Romarinus officinalis. Rosemary has long been regarded as a herb for remembrance. In ancient times, the Greeks and the Romans prepared fragrant distilled water from the flowers of this plant and inhaled the odour so that 'the evils were destroyed from the mind and the memory no longer played tricks.' Rosemary is considered to be an antidote for mental fatigue and forgetfulness. A tea made from this herb, taken once or twice a day, is a refreshing drink and an effective natural remedy for enhancing mental agility.

    3. APPLES are rich in iron, phosphorus, potassium and vitamin B1 -- all components that assist in brain-cell recovery.

    4. Cognitive therapies enable patients to regain lost skills and possibly prevent further loss of brain cells and memory.

    5. ALMONDS enhancement memory. To utilize the benefits, soak 10 to 12 nuts overnight, remove the skin and create a paste to be consumed every morning. Or, inhale approximately 15 drops of pure almond oil through the nose on a daily basis.

    6. In medical science there are various tests that are conducted on the patients of amnesia in order to check how much of their brain is damaged. In case they don't have any brain injury and the amnesia is caused due to some emotional reasons then there are various psychotherapy methods that help such patients in leading a normal life. There are many home remedies for amnesia , which are helpful in improving the memory.

    7. Hypnosis is used to bring about a positive change only when other cures have failed. But other cures like anti-depression pills, shock treatments don't have a lasting effect on the patients. What works is hypnosis. Hypnotic treatment has a permanent effect and does not cause a relapse of the disease.

    Allergies and its Treatment
Doctors often prescribe medicine to treat allergies. But taking medicine has caused some allergy suffers to endure unnatural effects such as drowsiness and headaches. With growing concern of chemicals and pills, alternative approaches to treating pollen and springtime allergies are becoming more popular.

What many people do not realize is that there are many home remedies for allergies. Although these home remedies do work for many, they are not guaranteed to produce results. That is why you are urged to keep allergy medications on hand at all times. But, if you ever find yourself in a bind, the remedies for allergies outlined below may be able to provide you with relief.

    Treatment

    1. Treatment for allergies can be as simple as using over the counter products or it can include visits to the allergist for allergy skin tests and immunotherapy (allergy shots).

    2. Allergy sufferers throughout the centuries have turned to hot tea to provide relief for clogged-up noses and irritated mucous membranes, and one of the best for symptom relief is peppermint tea. Peppermint's benefits extend well beyond its delicious smell; the essential oil acts as a decongestant, and substances in peppermint contain anti-inflammatory and mild antibacterial constituents.

    3. Go for an exfoliation once a fortnight either at a professional salon, or at home. It helps remove dead cells and revitalize the skin through blood circulation. Oatmeal combined with mashed apple is an excellent home scrub

    4. Keep air registers closed if there is a pet in the house, to reduce the animal dander from circulating around the rooms, especially in the bedrooms.

    5. Benadryl is one of the most popular medications for allergic reactions. It is a nonprescription medication, but still it has to be taken with caution. It can affect your reactions and impair the driving abilities or make you feel drowsy. It also affects concentration and the ability to work and it is not advisable to take it for more than only a few days in row.

    6. A lot of people are allergic to dust. This can be solved by just keeping your house clean! You can purchase air purification system for your home, because it keeps the air clean. It will help you get rid of any kind of dust allergy.

    7. Vitamins and Minerals should also be included in your fight for relief. For example, Vitamin C, E and mineral bicarbonates are extensively used in allergy clinics and are well known and well tested to be the allergic asthma home remedies. Vitamins should be taken in conjunction with and not as a substitute for a healthy and balanced diet.

    8. Bronchodilators are the treatment of choice during allergic asthma attacks. These function to widen the patient’s airways and cease sudden attacks.

    9. Air filters and dehumidifiers can be used to prevent mold that is present in the humid environments. It is known that onions, garlic, and citrus fruits contain natural antihistamines. Having these would help you prevent and cure allergies.

    Methods of Teeth Whitening
If you have always longed for whiter teeth, the good news is that at home teeth whitening has become a very efficient, effective and affordable way of brightening your smile. There are a number of different methods available on the market. In this article, you'll learn about two of them: teeth whitening trays and using hydrogen peroxide to whiten your teeth.

Many people are very particular about having white teeth. When you meet someone the first thing they notice is your teeth. Having white teeth builds your confidence and gives a smart look when you smile. There are many types of teeth whitening products in the market like toothpaste, strips, creams and other devices. The first question you should ask yourself is: "How much can I afford?" If you're like most people in this economy, and are looking to keep your expenses low, then at-home whitening kits are the best option for you. While whitening strips are known to brighten your teeth a little bit, trays are by far the best way to go.

    Methods:

    1. Sea salt is used quite effectively by itself or in combination with baking soda as one of the more popular at home tooth whitening methods. Table salt does not work as well as sea salt because it is generally finer grained. Contrary to what a user might assume, the rougher grained sea salt is not overly abrasive to teeth nor harmful. Not only is this solution good for whitening teeth, but also for killing bacteria that can compromise gum health.

    2. Strawberries and orange peel can also be used for tooth whitening. You just have to mash the strawberries and rub them on your teeth. You can also do the same thing to the orange peel. Just keep in mind to leave these fruits on your teeth for at least 20 minutes and you may proceed with rinsing and brushing of your teeth.

    3. Lemon juice by itself may not be the best home remedy for teeth whitening as the acidity can weaken teeth. Surprisingly enough, strawberries fall into the same acidic category. They are natural whiteners; simply rub them directly on your teeth or mash into a paste.

    4. Another home remedy for teeth whitening is apple cider vinegar. Brushing the teeth every night with vinegar will give you excellent results.

    5. Sometimes even with good hygiene, you teeth don't look as glamorous as they should or can. There are a few methods that can be used in order to make that smile of yours a bit whiter. The main one is buying teeth whitening products from a retail store, which is the choice of most.

    6. Nicotine sinks into the teeth and actually becomes an intrinsic stain. Anyone who smokes for very long can expect deep, hard-to-remove stains.

    7. OTC Whitening products like Crest White Strips or Aquafresh Whitening Trays are by far the most convenient and least expensive option available. They are typically an even lower concentration of peroxide than the professional kits, which means it takes more time wearing them.

    Arthritis and its Treatment
There seems to be a new arthritis rheumatism treatment introduced to the market every month. While not all of these are effective, some are really helping people to live with a little less pain and discomfort. Rheumatism is now a broad term that is used to describe several different disorders. The more common include osteoarthritis, rheumatic heart disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.

In the Musculo/Skeletal System, particularly with the disease of rheumatism or arthritis, the body has to be lead back to a state of health and balance.

    Treatment:

    1. To treat problems that manifest in the bones or muscles effectively, digestion and assimilation in the body have to work well, as do the various aspects of elimination. Keep this in mind when choosing different herbs for particular needs. They can be chosen according to the needs of the whole body. Included are alternatives, anti-inflammatory, rubifacients, diuretics, stimulants and digestives.

    2. Some have found gin and raisins to be incredibly helpful. A minority of people find that it doesn't help, but most people seem great benefit, even for those who received no benefit from prescription drugs.

    3. Treatment can be effective if followed the right and proper way. Avoid tea, coffee, liquors, fried potatoes, pork and bacon, soda biscuits, white flour products and cane sugar products.

    4. Certo in grape juice can also work wonders for arthritis pain also. But of course, there are those who say it is worthless for them. This is often true with drug prescriptions however, sometimes they work, and sometimes there is no benefit, only side effects, and doctors can't explain why.

    5. Emu Oil - Emu Oil is also very excellent for the arthritis cure and has many anti-inflammatory properties. Due to its small molecular weight, it easily enters into skin membrane and brings its soothing relief to sore joints.

    6. Heat pack can temporarily relieve pain. When you apply the heat on the affected joint, you can feel an immediate relief. Heat allows your muscles to relax. It also contracts your muscles so that your nerve endings can relax. However, the pain will return when your muscles begin to tense.

    7. According to Chinese Medicine Ginger is strongly Yang and regulates moisture and raises body temperature. Useful for treating illnesses caused by cold and dampness - cold and flu, rheumatism, headache.

    8. As Ansaid could increase the risk of developing ulcers and stomach bleeding, patients should not have a history of digestive problems. Arthritis is an ongoing condition; therefore Ansaid requires long-term administration and constant medical monitoring. Your doctor will advise that you take Ansaid with food or an antacid to reduce any possible digestive problems. However, Ansaid is normally tolerated by the body well.

    9. A new magnetic therapy is reported to provide significant relief to about 70% of the patients treated. The magnetic fields are assumed to stimulate the growth and repair of articular cartilage and to reverse the effects of OA. Another technique under investigation involves injecting hyaluronic acid into the affected joint cavities.

    Useful Tips to Quit Smoking
A question that most smokers who are considering quitting smoking ask is "What is the best way to quit smoking?" or if there are more than one ways "What are the best ways to quit smoking?" There are several ways and several techniques out there that can help you quit smoking. Different people will have different preferences, so the answer to the above question will be different for different people.

If you're looking to quit smoking easily, you've come to the right place. Quitting can be either very easy or very hard, depending on which method you decide to use to quit.

    Tips:

    1. The trick to quitting smoking is understanding that, even right now, you don't actually want to smoke. Your body has been conditioned to think that it needs nicotine, and that's all that smoking addictions are. Any time you light up a cigarette, you're setting yourself up for the next one. After you put it out, nicotine levels in your body start to drop. This creates an empty feeling inside of you that your mind has connected with smoking another cigarette.

    2. Many people choose nicotine replacement therapy to quit, and it seems like a great idea at first: You keep your body's supply of nicotine going for a while, and by the time you finish with the patch, your mind's connection between smoking and everyday events should be broken.

    3. Let all your friends, family members and relatives know about your quit smoking decision as they will become cautious is smoking in front of you. In fact your near and dear ones will surely be the supporting factor and will help you in quitting smoking.

    4. Another good thing to have on hand is some alternative to the cigarette be it whatever helps you the most. Some prefer the patch, gum, pills anything that you feel will help. However remember while you are doing this that you don't want to get addicted to something else in the process of quitting smoking.

    5. Some helpful ways to quit smoking for good include hypnosis. People think that it is a bunch of garbage but it is actually a very effective way to stop smoking forever. The hypnotist will retrain your brain to think that smoking is bad. He or she will also teach you that you do not need a cigarette in order to get through your day. You can stop smoking forever by using this method. Sooner or later you won't even think about cigarettes anymore.

    6. Set a date for quitting and create a system to help you get there. Stay away from other smokers whenever you can, switch brands with each pack, start putting money in the bank that you can have after you've been clean for a certain period of time.

    7. After a month, start a regular exercise routine (quitting can cause you to gain weight - exercise is key once your lung capacity goes up). Do stress-reducing exercises.

    Liver Care and Liver Treatment
Our liver works hard for us all day every day but it is perhaps the organ we pay the least attention to, at least until it goes on strike. When your liver isn't functioning properly, you experience such symptoms as chronic fatigue and muscle aches. The liver regulates our metabolism and blood sugar, and helps us digest fats, use the nutrients from our food, eliminate toxins from our body, and heal.

    Treatment:

    1. Berberis is nicknamed as the jaundice berry for its beneficial effects on the treatment of jaundice. It is a bitter tonic which is made from the bark of the berberis tree. It is taken in amounts of quarter teaspoon when jaundice strikes.

    2. Proper hydration is essential to any detox program. This component cannot be skipped. Fortunately, it is the easiest to take care of. Plenty of pure water (which is not available from the tap!) with a slice of lemon will get the process started. Ideally, you would add electrolytic minerals or zeta crystals to the water.

    3. Asanas most helpful in hepatic conditions are vajraasana, shalabhasana, halasana, padahastasana, abdomen lift and stomach lift. These asanas improves the circulation of the blood to the hepatic cells, sensitises lymph nodes supplying liver, removes the toxins in the peritoneum and hepatic region.

    4. The suggested amount of fiber is 25-30 grams of fiber per day. You need fiber to absorb bile properly otherwise the toxins in the bile can be reabsorbed back into your system. Plus, proper amounts of fiber will help keep your colon clean, help to lower cholesterol, and can reduce weight gain by giving you a feeling of fullness.

    5. Dried dates with almonds & Cardamoms are useful. Have plenty of sugarcane juice, orange juice, and barley water. Phylanthus neruri is a herb with wonderful healing action on liver, so take it regularly. Kamilari is a branded product containing this herb.

    6. Taking a supplement and a multi vitamin are important to make sure that you get the nutrients that you need as well Alterative Health Supplements offers a number of multivitamins and liver supplements that can help you keep you liver healthy. One of the liver supplements offered is called Liver Care by Himalaya.

    7. Proper food choices will also improve liver function. Broccoli, and calciferous vegetables such as cabbage, avocados, garlic and onions, and extra protein all help build healthy liver cells. While we all know that excessive use of alcohol causes cirrhosis of the liver, we may not be aware that we do not have to abuse alcohol to damage our liver.

    8. Milkthistle, dandelion root, oregon grape root, artichoke leaf, beet leaf, and fennel seed all work to open, clear and repair the liver. They are available as a compound, usually as a single tincture. A 30-day treatment with this tincture, added to red clover tea, can tone up the liver and get it working much better.

    9. Asanas most helpful in hepatic conditions are vajraasana, shalabhasana, halasana, padahastasana, abdomen lift and stomach lift.

    Hiccups and its Treatment
Hiccups are one of the most annoying involuntary reflex actions. Any sort of irritation caused in the diaphragm muscles results in erratic breathing producing sound. Other possible causes for hiccups could be hot spicy food, lung infection, stomach problem, kidney disorder, sudden excitement, overeating and eating too fast.

Most of the time, doctors never find the cause of hiccups. When a cause is found it is almost always something that irritates or presses on the nerves leading to the heart, lungs or diaphragm, such as a tumor, stomach ulcer, or irregular heart beats.

    Treatment:

    1. There are many home remedies for hiccups. Holding your breath is one of them. Others find relief in drinking cold water, gargling while holding one's breath, coughing, sneezing, putting a pinch of salt on the back of the tongue, breathing into a paper bag or a sharp yank on the tongue. Being startled can also stop hiccups in some people.

    2. Another commonly used herb for treating hiccups is black pepper. Inhale small quantity of black pepper powder. This will result in sneezing which is a fierce movement of respiratory tract. Hence putting an end to hiccups.

    3. Cardamom is another spice that is used for the treatment of hiccoughs. If the hiccough is persistent then a half teaspoon of cardamom powder is mixed in a cupful of water and then boiled to half its quantity. This solution is then filtered and drunk.

    4. Eating a bowl full of yogurt with a pinch of salt is also a good home remedy.

    5. Doctors sometimes recommend inhalation of increased concentrations of carbon dioxide. An easy way is to cover nose and mouth with a paper bag and breathe in and out into it for a couple of minutes. A tranquillizer such as chlorpromazine may also be prescribed to control the symptoms.

    6. In case of children with hiccoughs, a spoonful of peanut butter or honey is a good remedy. It should be swallowed at once, without retaining it in the mouth. Alternatively, a spoonful of curds sweetened with sugar can also be given to children.

    7. Holding your breath and counting to 10 is one way some people can get rid of their hiccups. Other people say that drinking from the "wrong" side of a glass of water is the way to become hiccup-free.

    8. Inhaling black pepper powder can induce a person to sneezing. Sneezing is a violent movement of the respiratory tract. Therefore, it can put an end to hiccoughs.

    9. Others find relief in drinking cold water, gargling while holding one's breath, coughing, sneezing, putting a pinch of salt on the back of the tongue, breathing into a paper bag or a sharp yank on the tongue. Being startled can also stop hiccups in some people.

    10. Touching a spoon against the uvula repeatedly while you try to breathe in, breathing into a bag, drinking water from the back side of a glass, massaging your neck, pulling on your tongue, sudden fright, pressing on your eyeball, or holding your breath.

    Eczema and its Treatment
Living with eczema can be one of the toughest conditions to have to live with, it not only affects the very young but can also affect the elderly, although not scientifically proven, some people say the condition does let up the older you get, but in my experience from working in the pharmacy industry it can actually get a lot worse.

Eczema is a skin disorder that includes symptoms such as itchiness, dryness and redness and affects millions of people all over the world. If you have already tried taking a prescription medication, you have probably realized that drugs focus on the symptoms alone and have only temporary results. In case you want a natural and effective treatment that has no side-effects, then it would be a very good idea to try natural home remedies to cure eczema.

    Treatment:

    1. You should avoid fried foods and soda because they both dehydrate the body and hydration will keep your skin moist and smooth. With that said the first home remedy is water. Sure it sounds too simple to be true, but if you drink enough water each day (at least 2 liters), then you will have healthy and moist skin. This helps to prevent and cure eczema from the inside out.

    2. Indulge in fatty food, fish, avocados and nuts in general as they help in enhancing the immunity level of the body. Do not eat rich food substances like cakes, pastries and chocolates as they tend to flare up dermatitis.

    3. Avoid clothing that is poor fitting or scratchy. Wool can really irritate your skin. Synthetic materials, such as polyester, can irritate as well.

    4. Carrot and musk melon is particularly beneficial in cases of eczema. The should be taken three to four times daily reducing the intake later on and adding milk and curds. Constipation and its Treatment
Nothing's moving, even though you know you have to move your bowels. Everything in your body is sending you that signal. You feel bloated and uncomfortable pressure, but when you try to go, nothing happens. Or, if you do finally go, it hurts. All signs prove that you are getting constipation. Constipation isn't an illness; it's simply what happens when bowel movements are delayed, compacted, and difficult to pass. Once you understand the basics of constipation, it's possible to treat it. Depending on the severity of the case, it may respond to simple home remedies or it may require medical intervention.

The most common home remedy for constipation is the same home remedy for weight gain – diet and exercise. Much constipation is caused by lack of physical exercise and poor diet. Every one should have 6-8 8 ounce glasses of liquid every day. The best liquid for preventing constipation and overall good health is water. 20-35 grams of dietary fiber each day is the American Dietetic Association’s adult recommendation. Good sources of fiber are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

    Treatments:

    1. The most important factor in curing constipation is a natural and simple diet. This should consist of unrefined foods such as wholegrain cereals, bran, honey, lentils, green and leafy vegetables, fresh and dry fruits, and milk products in the form of butter, clarified butter, and cream. You should also chew food properly; avoid hurried meals and irregular meals and not mix too many kinds of foods in one meal.

    2. A diet with enough fiber helps the body form soft, bulky stool. High-fiber foods include beans, whole grains and bran cereals, fresh fruits, and vegetables such as asparagus, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and carrots. For people prone to constipation, limiting foods that have little or no fiber, such as ice cream, cheese, meat, and processed foods, is also important.

    3. Juice the pears that are slightly hard. If the pear is ripe, it is best to blend it whole with apple juice to create a thick drink. Using the whole pear will give you additional fiber. Just remove the seeds but do not peel the organic type.

    4. Eat a mango in the morning right after brushing before breakfast, and one at night after dinner. There is a guarantee that you'll have to "go" before nightfall.

    5. Aloe Vera juice – helps to heal and clean the digestive system when take twice a day. One of the best home remedies for constipation

    6. In case of chronic constipation, eat more of cucumber, tomatoes, carrots, spinach and cabbage. The total intake of these should be a minimum of 250 grammes in the day. Eat them as you eat salad-season it with a pinch of salt and juice of a lemon in order to make it more palatable.

    7. For those suffering from chronic constipation, take a drink of figs dipped in water in the morning. You will find yourself looking for the next available toilet.

    Cirrhosis and its Treatment
Cirrhosis is a slowly progressing disease in which healthy liver tissue is replaced with scar tissue, eventually preventing the liver from functioning properly. The scar tissue blocks the flow of blood through the liver and slows the processing of nutrients, hormones, drugs, and naturally produced toxins. It also slows the production of proteins and other substances made by the liver. Causes of cirrhosis of the liver include hepatitis C, fatty liver, alcohol abuse, chronic viral infections, inherited disorders, reaction to drugs and prolonged exposure to environmental toxins.

    Treatment:

    1. Abstain from alcohol - Alcohol abuse is the single most important reason for

about 10 to 35 percent develop alcoholic hepatitis, and 10 to 20 percent develop

    cirrhosis.

    2. Cirrhosis is generally irreversible once it occurs. Treatment generally focuses on preventing progression and complications by encouraging a healthy diet with a reduction of salt, and abstaining from alcohol and drug intake. If the liver ceases to function or the complications of cirrhosis cannot be controlled a liver transplant will be necessary.

    3. Vitamin A deficiency has also been linked to liver disease. In one study, it was found that 9 out of 11 patients with cirrhosis of the liver were Vitamin A deficient. When they began supplementation, 7 of those 9 patients experienced significant improvements. Hepatology, (4), July-August 1981, p. 348-351. We suggest a high quality whole food supplement, like VITAFORCE™ that is complete and made from whole foods. Make sure you know what you are getting from the nutritional label.

    4. The Ayurvedic treatment of cirrhosis of the liver focuses on treating the cause, reducing or reversing the damage done, and preventing further damage to the liver. Medicines like Arogya-Vardhini, Shankh-Vati, Sharpunkha (Tephrosia purpuria), Kutki (Picrorrhiza kurroa), Punarnava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Bhrungraj (Eclipta alba) and Tamra-Bhasma are used to reduce swelling, inflammation and blockage in the liver cells. Medicines like Punarnavadi-Guggulu, Gokshuradi-Guggulu, Punarnavadi-Qadha, Gokshur (Tribulus terrestris), Saariva (Hemidesmus indicus), Deodar (Cedrus deodara), Aparmarga (Achyranthus aspera) and Sahinjan (Moringa pterygosperma) are used to reduce fluid retention and help in the blood circulation.

    5. Acupuncture Acupuncture can help; strengthen and restore energy balance to the liver, kidney, and heart, which are impaired by excessive drinking. It can also curb alcohol cravings and symptoms of withdrawal, making the individual's recovery more comfortable. Because of the complexity of the disease and its underlying causes, the practitioner may focus on up to 25 acupuncture points on the body, along with related auricular points.

    6. Herbal Remedies - Milk Thistle is recommended as a herbal remedy for liver damage. In addition the ayurvedic formulation Liv 52 is also well known for detoxification and liver support in cirrhotic and pre-cirrhotic conditions.

    7. Formulas that may be given in cases of cirrhosis include Bupleurum and Tang Gui, Ginseng and Longan, or Bupleurum and Dragon Bone.

Carpel Tunnel Syndrome and its Treatment
Having been diagnosed with carpal Tunnel Syndrome, means that you are likely suffering excrutiating pain, discomfort, and in many instances, a feeling of helplessness. Carpal Tunnel in which the body's peripheral nerves are compressed or traumatized can be the start of using many different treatments and medications to try and relieve the pain, and get your life back to normal.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Bound by bones and ligaments, the carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway - about as big around as your thumb - on the palm side of your wrist. It protects a main nerve (the Median Nerve) to your hand and nine tendons that bend your fingers."

While no one really understands what causes canker sores, there are numerous things you can do to instigate a home remedy for a nasty canker sore. Here are some tips.

    Treatment:

    1. Slip on gloves. Cold hands mean constricted blood vessels. And constricted blood vessels mean less blood-and nourishment-to overworked hand and wrist tissues. Wearing gloves can help keep your hands warm and increase blood flow. What if you're keyboarding? Just cut off the finger¬tips of each glove, and you can type with ease.

    2. Creating Muscle Balance: Studies have shown that most people, even those with moderate to severe carpal tunnel, can greatly reduce or completely relieve their symptoms by performing exercises that create balance within their hand, wrist and forearm. Clinical research has proven that the overuse of the flexor muscles that close the hand, and under use of the extensor muscles, which open the hand, cause the hand to collapse in on itself, squeezing the carpal tunnel, restricting space and initiating the cycle of pain, numbing and weakness.

    3. The first treatment should be exercises that help promote a healthy balance within your upper extremity. Most people can completely relieve or greatly reduce their symptoms by focusing on the weak, underused muscles on the backside of the hand and forearm, called the extensor muscles. Studies show that while exercising the weak extensor muscle group, and stretching the tight, over used flexor group (located on the palm side of your hands and forearm) you can easily and rather quickly, end your carpal tunnel dilemma for good.

    4. Treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome is usually based upon the severity of the symptoms. If the compression of the nerve is due to a metabolic disorder, then you and your doctor should think about of addressing the problem. If you experience carpal tunnel syndrome because of repetitive activities as well as compression, then you should think about changing those activities.

    5. A traditional acupuncture may possibly a useful complementary or alternative treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome. This therapy is painless. Nearly all patients treated reported no pain or pain that had been reduced by more than half.

    6. Studies show that while exercising the weak extensor muscle group, and stretching the tight, over used flexor group (located on the palm side of your hands and forearm) you can easily and rather quickly, end your carpal tunnel dilemma for good.

    Canker Sores and its Treatment
Canker sores are mouth ulcers which are an open sore found in the mucus membrane skins inside the lips, cheeks, on the roof of the mouth, and on the underside of the tongue. These painful sores can also be found on the soft palate and the tonsil areas. There are many causes for canker sores in the mouth, and most are preventable.

While no one really understands what causes canker sores, there are numerous things you can do to instigate a home remedy for a nasty canker sore. Here are some tips.

    Treatment:

    1. Cures for these painful sores include eating three kiwis each day, drinking unpasteurized goat's milk, or using Aloe Vera juice as a mouth rinse. Sound too exotic? If so, here are a few more remedies that you are more likely to find in your kitchen cupboard.

    2. Vitamin B complex (50 mg 3 times daily)-promotes healing and builds immunity, supplemented with vitamin B3 50 to 100 mg 3 times daily)-deficiency has been linked to canker sores

    3. First, be sure you're not confusing it with a cold sore. A cold sore is an infection known as the herpes simplex virus. It will almost always form on the outside of your mouth or on your lips. Canker sores on the other hand will generally always be found inside your mouth on the sides.

    4. First I found out that L-Lysine is the same as lysine. Next I learned that it is an essential amino acid of which people need about 1000mg to 1500mg per day for basic nutrition at a bare minimum. It turns out that meat, cheese, legumes, some fish, and eggs are good sources. However, I don't each much meat or eggs, so it was looking rather unlikely I was getting enough lysine through diet.

    5. You may also use wet tea bags, and press it on the ulcer. The tannic acid in tea is an astringent that will help relieve the pain and speed up healing.

    6. Rubbing aloe, lemon balm extract, or tea bags to cold sores is also known to lessen their size and help reduce pain. Drinking less coffee is another home remedy for cold sores. It is believed that coffee can be a catalyst in the formation of cold sores. It is recommended that people who are susceptible to cold sores cut back on their coffee intake.

    7. Preventing frequent canker sores doesn't have to require major changes, it might be as simple as switching your toothpaste and changing your snack choices. Such a small price to pay to avoid the misery those tiny, painful ulcers can cause.

    8. Eating, drinking, brushing teeth all can irritate the sore. It's wise to avoid foods that are salty, such as potato chips and popcorn; also acidic and spicy foods. Care should be taken when brushing teeth so as not to jab the gums or cheek with the brush.

    Body Odor and its Treatment
Body odor is the unpleasant smell emanating from sweat. While human sweat is mostly odorless, the bacteria that live on the skin can break down the sweat into acids which produces an unpleasant odor. All people who have passed the age of puberty can produce body odor. Since men tend to sweat more than women, they are more likely to have body odor. The apocrine sweat glands which are concentrated in the armpits, genital areas and breasts, release scented chemicals known as pheromones.

There are many body odor remedies to help keep you smelling as fresh as you can for a long period. I had an under arm body odor problem when I was younger and the over the counter deodorants didn't help me much. I sweat for no reason and it was becoming a serious problem I had to take care of. I'm not over weight so I didn't know why this was happening. Besides the body odor I was completely healthy.

    1. Avoid intake of saturated animal fats or hydrogenated, meat, dairy products and fried food as these not only can lead to liver toxicity but also become an attractive media for bacterial infection. Refrain from consuming sugar, sweets and refined carbohydrates. Try a 2-week fast and adopting a vegetarian diet until symptoms are cleared. A healthy diet will keep the oils bacteria feed on to a minimum.

    2. Entrenched fungus that causes foot odor and chronic athlete's foot may require stronger measures. Over-the-counter products containing miconazole nitrate, found in Desenex spray, or clotrimazole, found in Cruex or Mycelex cream can kill the source of such irritation and may save you from further distress. Use as what is directed on the label.

    3. Totally dry your body off when you're finished in the bath. Take heed to your groin, toes and armpits, which is where bacteria like to breed, creating those characteristic smelling body odors. Try and dry exhaustively and consider using light amounts of talcum powder to keep the areas dry.

    4. Avoid red meat, fried foods, and sugar. Also limit dairy products. Deodorants, though somewhat effective, tend to block the sweat glands, and may ultimately lead to aluminum toxicity.

    5. Personal cleanliness is still the best way to prevent BO. Sometimes, a good bath and loose clothes are all that's needed to solve the problem.\

    6. You can also chew certain herbs that help you reduce your body odor such as fresh alfalfa, fennel, sage, peppermint, and wheat grass juice. What I do is make a tea out of various herbs and drink it. I don't really want to chew the herbs so I find a good tea is much more refreshing.

    7. One topical medication that is commonly given for this purpose is Botox. When injected into sweat glands the glands are temporarily paralyzed. One of the biggest disadvantages of the medical approach to treatment is that the effects are very temporary. With cessation of treatment one can expect a return of symptoms.

    Arteriosclerosis and Its Treatment
Arteriosclerosis is a disease affecting the arterial human blood vessel. Arteriosclerosis may be one of the most easily preventable diseases of the modern civilization in the 40 to 70 age group. Coronary Arteriosclerosis is the blockage and narrowing of the blood vessels and is commonly referred to as hardening of the arteries. It is characterized by the thickening and hardening of the arteries. This loss of elastically and narrowing of the arteries can lead to high blood pressure and if left untreated, increases the chance of a stroke.

Arteriosclerosis develops with aging. The cause for arteriosclerosis is not certain but related to: genes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol levels, smoking, lack of exercise, and more.

    Causes of Arteriosclerosis:

    • Hereditary factors. If your family has a history of heart attacks, you may be prone to have one.

    • The male population. Females are less likely to have it because their hormones offer a certain degree of protection.

    • Smoking and High Blood Pressure.

    • High blood cholesterol levels. You should always have your cholesterol levels checked as a preventive measure not just for arteriosclerosis but also for other diseases caused by having high cholesterol levels in your blood.

A second, more advanced type of hardening, called atherosclerosis, is due to the buildup of cholesterol or fatty deposits in the artery walls and contributes to the degeneration of the arteries involved. Atherosclerosis usually affects the aorta, heart, and brain arteries as well as the other blood vessels of the body and extremities.

    Treatment:

    1. Treatment includes a change in lifestyle like stopping smoking immediately if the person is a smoker, maintain a healthy diet and cut down on fats to control the cholesterol and exercise regularly to keep diabetes and high blood pressure under control. Sometimes drugs have to be prescribed along with a change in lifestyle for lowering the blood pressure, cholesterol and controlling diabetes.

    2. 2.Your diet is responsible for the excess level of calcium getting accumulated in the blood vessels. Hence taking a proper diet is the simple and logical solution. Whole grains, seeds, fruits and vegetables all should be included in your diet. You should eat several small meals in a day. Avoid animal fats, ghee, cream, butter, tea, coffee, processed food, pickles and red meat in your diet. Cook your food in either olive oil or sunflower oil.

    3. Smoking is also not good and you should avoid smoking . Smoking causes hypertension, which is one of the main reasons behind getting choked blood vessels.

    4. Take a glass of water and add one teaspoon of lemon juice and one teaspoon of honey. Drink this solution for treating arteriosclerosis. Honey is very effective in reducing the cholesterol levels of the body.

    5. Vitamin C has show to reduce cholesterol levels and lowers high blood pressure.

    6. To keep your arteries free from plaque, you need to consume an omega 3 rich diet. The main dietary sources of omega 3 fatty acids are cold water fishes such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, Hoki and sardines.

    Appendicitis and its Treatment
Appendicitis is considered to be a surgical illness. Due to its severe character, the treatment for appendicitis often involves surgical
intervention. Judging by the speed of development and the gravity of the illness, appendicitis can be either acute or chronic. Acute appendicitis evolves very fast and can lead to complications. Chronic appendicitis is less serious and slower to develop. Although there are other options, the safest treatment for appendicitis is considered to be surgery.

If one who suffers from appendicitis pain does not seek medical help immediately, the appendix will just burst within time. Bear in mind that appendicitis pain does not go away by just swallowing on pain killers. The pain will start of like bad gas and then turn into very severe pain and only by removing the appendix will the pain be relieved completely. When the appendix burst, although the pain at the abdomen might go away, but the condition of the person is worsen as he/she will be in a deadly situation as when the appendix burst, it will release pus and infectious organisms into the abdominal cavity.

    Treatment:

    1. It is difficult to diagnose this condition. The symptoms are oftentimes vague and non-localized. They can also be similar to symptoms of other common illnesses like urinary tract infection, gastritis, gallbladder diseases and other medical problems.

    2. Herbal treatment for appendicitis means sustaining the recovery after the surgical intervention; it cannot replace surgery by any chance. If you suspect appendicitis in you or your child call a doctor immediately.

    3. The treatment of appendicitis is strictly surgical and resumes in the removal of the appendix and draining of a possible formed abscess. The operation is called appendectomy. Antibiotics must be administered before and after surgery to prevent a potential peritonitis. Two methods of removing the appendix are available to surgeons today: classical surgery or laparoscopic surgery; the last mentioned one is more advantageous because of the smaller incision needed and also because the patient recovers faster. In two or three weeks the patient will return to his normal life style independent on the method of appendectomy.

    4. Soak a clean towel in hot water and apply a hot compress to the painful area several times a day to relieve cramping and inflammation. Massage almond oil over the painful area after removing the compress. Almond oil is used by massage therapist to relieve pain and by aromatherapists to help calm the body.

    5. Drink fresh, natural fruit and vegetable juices on the third day, but continue to avoid solid foods until the symptoms have disappeared completely. Increase your food intake gradually to prevent shock to your delicate and recuperating system. Begin first with soups, yogurt and other easily digested foods, avoiding meat, grains and processed cheeses for at least two weeks.
