This is my one-hundred-and-fifteenth journal entry. :)

Hello, all my dear fellow blurtyers! ('blurtiers'?) I have about twenty things I'd like to put down today, but due to the limitations of not having the power to stop time for everthing but me, I have to restrict myself. Hehe. :] Where shall I begin, on this, my one-hundred-and-fifteenth journal entry?

Saturday was quite stressful for me as the deadline for our London trip loomed closer, and me with laundry to do, a checkbook to balance, and a dorm job to finish--not to mention the additional shopping needed for last-minute items. Also in the back of my mind was the mess of papers and projects lying impatiently on my desk back here at work--and only two days left to get everything in order! I thank God for Sophie, who always knows what to say to calm my nerves and make me laugh instead of grind my teeth. :) God is good.

Sunday was the opposite of Saturday: We had a great service in the morning, and then immediately afterward the Ensemble met for practice in the old Newberry's building. We usually meet in the Youth Hut (affectionately named; it used to be a Pizza Hut and still bears the familiar architecture), but aparently someone was having a bridal shower in there, so we had to move everything, including a large drumset. But Newberry's is a great room acoustically, the sound was awesome! We practiced for SIX HOURS. ¡Aye de mí! It was great practice though, I felt like I was really part of the group and shared with their vision to use the medium of music to reach people's hearts. We're also doing a few skits and testimonies; this will be a very evangelistic trip. Overall, the practice really built me up and removed some of my fears of being on stage. I just didn't feel adequately prepared. Now I feel I can relax. I just love to sing, and six hours of it yesterday did me good. ;) It's so nice to get the approval of the different members of the group, too.

After the practice we had our evening service, and let me tell you, it was awesome! Pastor Scibelli preached a great message on "Let your yes be yes and your no be no--Say yes to God and no to Satan." No to Satan, the world, and the flesh. It was really simple, but he said it with such conviction that my heart was stirred. Can it really be that simple? Yes, actually, it can! Praise God!

Then--this was a total shock--Pastor Schaller stood to introduce our guest speaker for the evening, but before he did, he said, "Where is the group leaving for England? Can they stand?" Sophie and I looked at each other, wondering if anyone else was leaving for England other than us. So we stood, feeling very self-conscious and embarassed, surrounded by a sea of 2000 people. And the body prayed for us. It was unexpected, I didn't know Pastor Schaller even knew we were leaving; but as they were praying and we were standing, he prayed this amazing prayer. Suddenly I realized that this was a missions trip. We were missionaries, being sent out. Somehow I hadn't really realized this before, but it's true. Our purpose is to save souls and encourage Christians to go forward with God by coming to Bible College. So there you have it: Salvation and discipleship. I'm a missionary. :)

(((By the way, did I tell you I'm going to ENGLAND? Eeeeee!!)))
