so other-me sent me some luvverly songs yesternight. i liked all of 'em, but some caught my fancy more than others. i really liked "how good it can be" by the 88. mcqueen tells me it was on the OC soundtrack. she knows about those kinds of things. i also really liked: > "ophelia" - ambulance ltd. > "dream to make-believe" - armor for sleep > "a duel will settle this" - mates of state > "walk on the moon" - asobi seksu > "golden touch" - razorlight > "counting backwards" - the velvet teen
after school today, when the fire alarm went off (when will people learn how to use a microwave properly!?) ada and i stood outside for about ten minutes freezing our asses off, digging little holes in the snow with our shoes, and listening to some music on ada's ipod. she had me listen to a song by the postal service, which i liked but can't remember the name of, and another band i can't recall right now but i liked as well.
kate-who-is-not-sama also told me that she'd lend me her tommy and the clash CDs so i can burn them.
mcqueen also sent me "son of sam" by elliot smith, which i enjoyed immensely. she should send me more music. right NOW.
and so should everyone else. thanks to everyone who's already tried to widen my musical horizons, and i hope i can sponge off you guys some more in the future.
