Geoff? How'd you find this?
Oh well.....
I haven't updated in a while because I haven't told anybody yet (although I was getting around to this) and I hadn't expected anyone to find it.
I finally got my Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith T-shirt yesterday, the one that my dad bought for me for my birthday. Finally, after a month. It paid off, though, when it was noticed and I was able to talk to a fellow nerd (geek?) who is not related to me.
I proclaim my fanboy behavior for all to see! Revel in its glorious black-and-red-ness!

Doom 3 impressions I have a bit to say about Doom 3.
First of all, it's dark. I mean pitch-black, can't-see-my-hand-in-front-of-my-face dark. Rightfully so, of course: it is supposed to scare the bejeesus out of you. I don't care what people say about the flashlight, I like it. It heightens the tension having no idea when you'll need it. Imps come jumping out of nowhere, zombies shuffle from out of a dark corner, etc.
Which brings me to my next point: enemies. They're about as smart as they need to be. Zombies are stupid; their brains have been eaten. Imps are a tad smarter, although they lag behind the zombie-shotgun and -machine gun guys. As stated before, they have a habit of catching you off guard.
Speaking of catching you off guard via the use of scripted sequences, my only beef with the game are the introduction of each new enemy by cutscene. It pulls you out of the action whereas scri[ted sequences keep you in them. They aren't bad, but they are slightly annoying.

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3..... I finally succumb to the pressures of the internet: I have a blog. A crappy one, but a blog nonetheless. As far as things happening today, meh, it was kind of okay. Worked from 9 - 11, drove with my brother to Best Buy, bought a couple games (Rogue Squadron II and III), and came home. On the plus side, when my brother came, he brought with him games. Namely, Thief 3, Doom 3 (glee!), Zax: Alien Hunter, Halo, and a couple more. I have been a busy, busy man (read: one who is not working on anything assigned to him).
I'll post my semi-review of Doom 3 when I get the chance.
Oh, well, it's not like anyone is reading anyway.
