JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Gov. Sarah Palin has vetoed scores of public works projects around the state.
Palin's vetoes totaling more than a quarter billion dollars were made public on Friday - the deadline for her to sign the budget.
Palin struck $268 million in roads, school improvements and other local projects from a nearly $3 billion budget that lawmakers approved last month.
Palin warned lawmakers there would be vetoes. She said they had failed to build a fiscally prudent plan.

Gastineau Channel Crossing Environmental Impact Study -$2,600,000 vetoed
The Centennial Hall cruiseship passenger emergency relief center improvements -$1,200,000 vetoed
Glacier Highway roundabouts and sidewalks from Fritz Cove to Harbor Drive -$4,286,000 was cut to $750,000 to fund design and environmental work.
Thane Road pavement rehabilitation -$3,900,000 vetoed
Sealaska Heritage Institute - Southeast Alaska Native Archival & Cultural complex- $200,000 vetoed
Tlingit Readers, Inc - preservation of historical and cultural landmark -$100,000 vetoed
Juneau Area Historic Tour development -$250,000 vetoed
KTOO FM & TV - $100,000 vetoed
Juneau Arts and Humanities Council armory renovation -$100,000 vetoed
Eagle beach accessible public use cabin and shelters -$58,000 vetoed
