girl friday

12:48pm: She's gone paranoid!!!
From now on, this journal is friends-only. Why? I don't really have any reason to make it friends-only. Hiding behind the cute little padlock won't keep people from commenting here asking questions about sextips or even the rare over18 question. My full name is nowhere near this journal, and it's noindex anyway. But it will keep annoying people from reading about my life.

So now, do I get to make this nifty little 'add me' statement? Hmmm....

I'm 19. I'm female. I'm in a sorority, but am certainly NOT a 'sorority girl.' I like The Matrix, X-Men, Pirates of the Caribbean, reading, mystery novels, reading mystery novels, my girls, my boys, fanfiction, and alcohol. I'm slightly self-centered, but not narcissistic. I don't comment heavily, but I do read everything. I don't expect you to comment at all, though once in a while, just so I know you're alive would be nice. My journal can get pretty deep at times, and incredibly shallow at others.

If you don't like me, don't add me. I'll most likely add you back, unless you are under 18. Then you have to be incredibly kick ass like kirajade before I'll add you. Savvy?

11:47pm: Although I very rarely post friends-only, I do like to know who is reading my journal. So, don't be a shiesty friend, and comment here if you're reading and I've not friended you. I'm an evol biotch nice girl, really.

(Oh, and the little baby RPG'er that's watching my journal? Get off. I don't want you here; at least be decent and friend me with your real account so I can get your ass banned.)

7:12am: Rules for icon requests
I am a volunteer for userpics. If you would like me to create an icon for you, please email girl_friday@ujournal.org with a link to a picture or photo (my email doesn't handle attachments very well), a list of specifics and your username. Please don't forget your user name. Alternately, you can get a hold of me via IM (see my profile). Don't comment in my journal. If you do, it will be ignored and deleted. This is my journal and my space, and do not want it cluttered with icon requests.

I will do everything I can, but please do not expect me to read your mind. If you want something specific, like a certian font, color scheme, animation, border or none, etc., you must let me know. When the icons are done, I will post them at userpics; unless I have a problem, I will not contact you by email. If something more needs to be done, you can comment on my post in the community, and I will reply there. I will also do no more than three icons per user per request, unless I feel there are special circumstances. (I do have a life, too, you know.) See this page for examples of my work.

3:15pm: DISCLAIMER
OK, I'll put a nice little disclaimer on my journal, so no one can say they weren't warned.

I am a very blunt person. It's a failing, but I'm not going to change anytime soon, so get over it. I write in things in my journal that I want to write. Do not harrass me about it; if you don't like it, you don't have to read it.

As for recent snarky posts, I am ill, which makes me cranky. I will not apologize for anything I said, because it's true. I will, however, make it known that I am not usually this pissy, and if I offended you, well...don't be so sensitive.

And a note on RPGs...I used to play Redwall MUCK, and still log on from time to time, so I'm not bashing RPGs outright. What irks me is the fact that it seems like more than half of all Blurty journals are RPG characters. I moved here from uJ because I thought there would be more people my age, and fewer teeny-boppers; this is quite obviously not the case. (These people probably started here because Blurty is still giving out Early Adopter accounts, while uJ, DJ, and LJ require users to pay to get this type of customization.)

And to whomever comments anonymously on my journal: log in and take responsibility for your posts. I will not harass you; that's extremely juvenile. Please extend the same courtesy to me.
