4:48a - Bruises of the ISLANDS...
It is a well-known fact that I bruise ever-so easily (like a beauteous and tender peach?). But I've noticed lately that I've my bruise patterns have begun to look very much like island chains. I'll look down at my legs and all of the sudden I'll be struck with recognition, "Hey - LOOK - it's the Seychelles!" Or, "If THOSE are the Aleutian Islands than I'm not the Queen of Romania." (Okay, technically, I am "Queen of the Genetic Universe" - long story for another time, but I like "Queen of Romania" because it's in a play I love - can't remember which one at the moment...). Or, the worst, "GOD HELP ME - I've got ALL the islands of New Zealand on my right upper thigh!!!"Ah, the life I lead.
