5:42 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to Kroger's for a report of heavy smoke possibly caused by some landscaping on fire over by the fuel pumps.
5:43 p.m. -- A deputy on scene reports the fire was extinguished by passers-by but is still smoldering and smoking. The fire is contained to the landscaping in a single island in the parking lot.
