8:18 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to Maywood subdivision off the Springfield Road for a report of heavy smoke in the area of the Maywood Country Club. The caller was unable to identify the source of the smoke.
8:31 p.m. -- Firefighters locate the source of the smoke as a controlled burn past Bardstown Auto Wreckers east of the Maywood subdivision. Firefighters say some tires are part of the pile burning, and they will extinguish the fire.
