1:50 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to 171 Barberry Lane for a report of a structure fire at a residence. Callers report heavy smoke coming from the home. They believe the home is unoccupied. An ambulance from Nelson County EMS is also responding.
1:54 p.m. -- Two Bardstown Police officers are on scene, report the home is occupied but resident is not there. The smoke is coming from the kitchen area. Police report a neighbor has kicked the door down.
