6:10 p.m. -- The Bardstown Fire Department is responding to Xavier’s Restaurant in the basement of Spalding Hall for a reported kitchen fire. The restaurant is being evacuated.
6:17 p.m. -- First firefighter on scene reports smoke showing from the restaurant.
6:19 p.m. -- Firefighters report the restaurnant's vent hood system extinguished the fire. They will setup ventilation to clear smoke from the restaurant.
