    Elvis Lives!
Background checks are great and all - as long as you use them! My sis and her hubby officially got married in Vegas last month as they expected, and they didn't think they'd have to find someone to officiate their wedding, since Vegas is so full of shotgun chapels and all, you know? Turns out maybe they should have used people search engines because the Elvis that married them (yeah, he was an Elvis impersonator) turned out to be a little crazy. He's called them three or four times at weird hours asking for extra money or friendship or something. We think he's stopped, but still strange. Please note: do a background check on your wedding official! And check out this funny rant to the war on drugs.

    Found a Hubby
My sister and her guy are getting married. Yep, crazy huh? In fact, they might even already be married. They left for Vegas late last night, so it may have already happened. I gotta say, this could be a mistake, but I'm gonna let is slide cause she and this guy get along so well, and I've honestly never seen her happier. My sis has had a really rough love life, so she deserves this. Assuming all goes well, she's going to have a real ceremony and reception sometime later. I get the impression she just wanted to nab this guy! Looks like running a people finder worked out in the end, huh? It let us search people and make sure this guy was up to par. I might have to fit into a bridesmaid dress soon, so I'm reading about Five Fitness Facilitators That Keep Me Doing in preparation, as well as thinking about taking One a Day. I'm excited!

    Finding Links
So my sister had that date for Valentine's Day. We ended up throwing the small dinner party and it was such a hit, and her date was SUCH a hit. We all really liked him. He's real cute, intelligent, and he brought his own homemade wine to the party. Scored a ton of points with that one, let me tell you what. So that's good news. In other news I'm still doing well in school. THat's that, it's pretty boring so let's move onto the links. You want to know how to search people, right? Find someone using people search, just like I did. You can also run background checks on people with these sites. I highly recommend Rant Farm - To The Economy. It's freaking hilarious.

    Yay Me!
Got my test results back and WOO! I nailed all my finals. Well, one wasn't as great as the rest, but it was still a B minus so I'm going to take it. :) The other good new is that I think I found someone to set my sister up with! My husband works with this guy he goes for drinks with now and again, and he said he was a pretty good guy. We did a background search on him and no flags came up, so we're planning a small dinner party this weekend to introduce them. If all goes well, I'm hoping my sister will have a date for Valentine's Day. She's always complaining about how hard it is to find a person she can really connect too, I really hope this will work out. Meanwhile, she sent me this hilarious list called we hate it when that cracked me up. Number 19 was my favorite--I so hate when that happens! Anyway, off to pick up the kids from school.

    School, Kids, People Search
Okay, so my sister's new man kind of gave me the creeps over Christmas, but I let that go because everyone was just so happy she had someone. Finally I asked her if she bothered doing a background check on him, and she said no. Imagine my shock! So of course I looked him up on people records and discovered this juicy little tid-bit: the man is still married. My sister confronted him and he said he was "separated" but at that point she was past believing anything he said. Of course that hasn't been my only excitement as I've had to study for finals and deal with the kids home for vacation. I've been looking for a good babysitter for a while now--I know as a student I supposedly can be home with the kids, but I need a few hours every day alone so that I can work on my classwork. I found this great article on finding hard to find things and people that gave me a few good suggestions. I'm going to try that, because if I don't get some help soon, I'm going to go crazy! Wish me luck!

    Christmas Craziness
Hello everyone! The kids and husband have been home for what seems like FOREVER since it's the holidays and all, so I've been real busy, but I've still been able to sneak in some people searching. And since that's what you people come here for, I have some excellent links that will help you find the people you need to find. Believe me, this was hard work. Remember how I said Thanksgiving was gonna be crazy with both of our families plus friends coming? Well, Christmas was even crazier! We had all the same family members, all the same friends, plus a bunch of new ones. Oh yeah...best of all, my sister brought someone! Guess all my people search tips helped here out. Here are some others:

    Thanksgiving Madness
Wow, I have a quite a couple weeks ahead of me! I volunteered (although now I don't know why) to have it at my house this year. We are having both mine and my husband's family over, as well as some family friends. It's going to be an ordeal and a half. I mean, I am really excited, but it sooo much work. I am trying to find people on phone listings so I can send out invitations for the big day. Thank goodness I am such a people search private eye! I also found an article on ConsumerAdvocate.org - Online Dating, for my sister, so that she doesn't have show up alone this yes, like she does every year. You probably think I am being pushy, but you don't understand. She complains about coming alone every year, so I am trying to help her out so that she doesn't cry to me about how lonely she is. Anyways, I gotta get back to the planning. Be back after Turkey Day!

    People Search Finds
After my disappointing number of people search recommendations last month, Ive really focused this month on finding some great people search resources that I can vouch for. I found three really great sites with informative ways to find people. All this and I really didn't get much people searching time this month! Kids were sick, then my husband was sick (which was more work than the 2 days both kids were sick together!). Thankfully I managed to avoid the flu. I did feel a little weak for a couple of days, but that was it, no fever, headache or the achiness they were all complaining about. Now onto those people search links I mentioned:

    Silla's Searching in September!
I have been like the energizer bunny when it comes to people searching. Seriously, I've been so diligent lately. I've hit up all my favorite people search engines ans even found new sites to explore. I've had so much more free time now that the kids are back and school, and my husband is swamped at work, so I have the house pretty much to myself these days. I hate TV, so I am at the computer most of the time. Thank god my husband got me a huge MAC for the holidays last year. I love it to pieces! Maybe more than my husband.....just kidding. Unfortunately, with all that searching I only have one link to put up. I found lots of good ones, but I was so into that, I failed to write down the address for most them. But here is this really cool Address Search Blog. Enjoy! And Happy Searching!

Silla is Finding People All Over the Place
Hey guys! I am back to finding people on the net. I went on an amazing two week vacation to the Carribean. I took a cruise with my husband, and we left the kids at home. Bliss. I was finding people are much nicer on a cruise, probably because everyone is so relaxed (or sea sick!) Thankfully, I don't have motion sickness, but my husband did the first two days. That part was not so fun, but the rest of the two weeks was wonderful. We found people from Canada that we hung out with at dinner and around the ship. They really were the nicest couple. But, it's nice to come home, and be back on the computer. I had withdrawals. I had people finding withdrawals, which sounds totally ridiculous, but it's true. Since, I have been back, I've already found some good sites that I wanted to share with you all. I found a good blog someone wrote about finding people , and then I found this funny website full of lists, and one of the is called "Find People to Make Friends" . It's super funny. Check them out, and I'll be back later!

    Search for People Silla Style!
Hey, I'm back. I was so busy studying. I had like three huge papers that were all due right after the other, which means that I had no life for about a month. But alas, that is the life of a grad student. But now that it's July I finally have some free time to get to my real work...people searching. Ok, it's not so much work as pleasure. I have become so addicted to this stuff since I helped my mom track down her cousin. I am constantly thinking of new people to research all the time. I have been online a lot lately finding people and have come across some good links to share with you guys. I found this site that has some cool info about doing a death certificate search , which is helpful if you're doing a genealogy project. This is a cool blog that someone is keeping about how to search people in general. If you really are building a family tree then you should check this site out. It will take you through it step-by-step. Ok that's it for now!

How to Find People and Influence Them Too.
Hello everyone - my name is Silla and this is my first blog. I suppose I should tell you a little about myself to begin with - so here goes: I'm a vegetarian, I try to run at least one marathon each year, I never discriminate when it comes to beer, I prefer green apples over red, I am getting my master's degree in linguistics and presenting a paper at the Helsinki conference this summer (which I'm extremely excited about because all kinds of great minds are going to be there including Umberto Eco)! I'm eating apple slices (green ones, of course) and oatmeal right now, and really enjoying it. Another thing I like to do in my free time is people search. My mom is first generation American... as are most the people on her side of the family that are her age. This created a situation where she lost touch with a lot of her relatives over the years because there was a lot of moving around by everyone in the family as they settled in the States. Last year she and I were talking about one of her cousins who she really was missing and wanted to get back in touch with. I had heard about these people searching / people finder sites online and decided to give it a try to find her cousin. Well, I not only found her cousin, but I found all kinds of other people I didn't even know were living in the US. It was awesome. So awesome in fact, that I've decided to center my blog on it. I've found there are so many people who don't know how easy it is to find a person with these people search engines, and it's just plain sad! More on all this to come, but for now I must go! Study calls.
