fake tan product review - St Tropez
Being a tanning junky I get to use my fair share of self tanners and of course I have my favorites. One of the ones that have become quite popular for me is St Tropez, the bronzing mousse. Self tan products can come in all different shapes and forms - lotions, mousses, sprays, creams and they all have their advantages and disadvantages!

The St Tropez Mousse is great because of how easy it is to apply, you find that a lot of fake tanners are hard to apply because of the consistency but that is what makes St Tropez so good. What I will say to begin with is that you need to be vigilant on how much of the mousse you use, you only need a small amount! I have heard of quite a few people who have ended up making a real mess because they used a huge quantity of it, this will end up leaving you with a thick layer on your skin and when the tan starts to fade it will start flaking off which really isn’t good! So make sure you just use a small amount.

The tan color you get from St Tropez is natural looking and bronzed, it isn’t too deep but at the same time it isn’t really fake looking, I was very happy the first time I applied it and didn’t notice any hints of orange at all! I found that my skin also looked quite radiant and hydrated so I think that it uses a built in moisturizer which really adds to the natural tan effect! I have used the best spray tan before and tan you get from St Tropez is not too far off that!

Providing you prepare your skin beforehand you can really get a great looking tan from using St Tropez, but I can’t stress this enough – you must give your skin some treatment before applying it, I hear a lot of people who complain about the tan flaking off after or it doesn’t apply evenly but that is usually because they have not exfoliated before hand or took their time to apply it! If you do it properly you should have a lovely looking fake tan that lasts almost a week before starting to fade.

Finally St Tropez is good value for money, it’s certainly not the cheapest fake tan product you’ll ever buy but the extra bucks is well spent because you’re getting a high quality tanner that bronzes you instantly, no waiting around for several hours like with some other self tanners, this one gives you a tan straight away!
