subject ESPN suck balls. mood: contemplative music: Lightning Dust - I Knew
| Having left Stoke and Bally's quite wonderful Sky TV (complete with good ol' Sky Sports), I've found myself in London with people who have access to ESPN instead, so I've traded one load of Premier League football for another. Which is odd.
ESPN are a weird bunch. 5:30pm on Saturday seems like a very strange time for football anyway, but that's not the issue. The problem is their closedown time. ESPN (over here, at least) ends for the night at 4am. Ordinarily that's not a problem (seriously, what's on at 4am? They show more German football than anything else!), but, say, if you're bored and feel like watching the MLS Cup final (kickoff was 2am GMT), it'd be nice to be able to do so in full. Not, for example, watch LA Galaxy boss the first half, Real Salt Lake come back in the second, and then be left with no idea what happened during extra time and penalties because the channel decided to shut down for the night five minutes in.
Fucknuts.
Apparently RSL won, which is moderately saddening. (I was supporting the Galaxy, due to a lingering loyalty towards David Beckham from his Manchester United days...) 1 performance ~ entertain me

| It was about 12:30 p.m. on this day in 1963 that President John F. Kennedy was fatally shot while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. It was the first successful assassination of an American president since 1901, and the only presidential assassination ever caught on film. Almost every American alive at the time remembers where they were when they heard the news.
The Warren Commission published a report concluding that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in shooting the president, a conclusion that less than half of all Americans believe. Don DeLillo wrote the novel Libra (1988) about the Kennedy assassination, and he wrote in an essay: "What has become unraveled since that afternoon in Dallas is … the sense of a coherent reality most of us shared. We seem from that moment to have entered a world of randomness and ambiguity."
Randomness and ambiguity? I can agree with that. 4 performances ~ entertain me

You Are Angel
|

You have a pretty dark past, but you've changed your ways... and possibly not by choice.
These days, you try to do your best to be a good person. You have a sore spot for anyone who hurts anyone else.
You are a true romantic, but you can't be with the person you truly love. And you are completely torn up about it.
At your core, you're a loner. You are light-hearted and funny, but deep down you're really quite tormented.

| Well, I had my dentist appointment this morning. :(
$80 for one xray and a brief exam to be told they can either patch it with a filling that may last for a while or it may last a month or two. That or they could put a crown on it. :(
The filling would cost about $200. The crown would cost about $900.
Some choice a filling that may last, or it might not. Or an expensive crown.
I didn't want to, but I am going with the crown. :( I go back tomorrow for the first part. She said, I don't have to pay until the second part, but I think I will pay tomorrow if they will let me so I can get my insurance process started. Mother Mayo isn't the speediest when it comes to paying us back.
What's my chance of getting paid back before Christmas? My money is on slim to slimmer. :p 4 performances ~ entertain me

| This guy staggers into his house, exhausted after playing golf, and drops his clubs on the floor. "What a day!", he exclaims. His wife asks what happened. He responds, "Well, there we were on the first tee, when George had a heart attack and died."
"Oh, how awful."
"Yeh, the whole rest of the day it was: Hit the ball ... drag George ... hit the ball ... drag George. ..." 2 performances ~ entertain me

| Why is it you only have trouble with your teeth when the dentist is closed? Mine is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Last night I think I cracked a tooth. I am sure he has emergency services, but at what price? I am going to try and make it until Monday and hopefully get an appointment. I think it's the same tooth the broke and started my return to the dentist a couple of years ago. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It never fails something always comes up financially when you are feeling half way okay about such things. :( 2 performances ~ entertain me

subject Diet Update.... | I made an entry on my thinandhealthy group site on Monday describing my disgust with myself over my eating habits. I ate myself to the point of feeling sick over the weekend, and that was enough to kick my butt. I hope. I have had two really good days and one okay day since. I assume that is what allowed me to have a minimal gain for the week, and hopefully a loss for next week.
Today's Weight: XXX.X lbs
Lost or Gained This Week: +.7 lbs
Total Lost or Gained: -19.3 lbs
Dang, I was really hoping not to go below that 20 loss. 4 performances ~ entertain me
