Well, it's been forever since I've updated on Blurty. The reason has not necessarily been that I've been too lazy to write in my journal, rather it's because I kinda switched over to LiveJournal for a few reasons 1. Because there was, for a while, a slight lackage of updates on my friends page as well, and it got kinda boring after a while to come here. Besides, I don't talk to many of these people much anymore; It's almost as I'm not really friends with them anymore (John and Sarah are exceptions, since band practices have sorta brought us together recently as friends I think). Even though I still hang out with the same crowd, the crowd has sort of drifted apart from me. I don't know if it's because I'm an Advanced student who really loves classical music and The Beatles and can find nothing to relate to these people, or because they're bored with me or what, but I'm pretty much friends with about half of the group (Sadie, Kathy, John, Sarah, Chris) perhaps; the other half I don't care too much for. 2. Because I found that Blurty was sometimes a little too slow to load up on my computer, don't know why. It especially gets annoying when you're trying to update and it times out on you. 3. Because two of my best friends have LiveJournals, as well as some other friends of mine who are part of the sort of "FF-Named" crowd.
...And so, without further ado, this is the formerly-known-as Dzheph, now-known-as Stapler__9_42 signing off!

The past few days have been quite eventful. Sheesh, it seems like the days have been long...Let's see... Tuesday: This was a pretty good day. I got a 100 on my History essay; I wasn't really expecting to, so it was kinda strange. I also had a rehearsal for Variety Night, and I think the rehearsal went pretty well... Wednesday: I had a piano lesson, and Variety Night right after that. Variety Night was rather strange. I played a piano song in the first act, and I got so nervous I actually had some memory slips that I never would've had before...But it was received well anyway...I guess people are pretty forgiving. Interestingly, John was sitting in the croud, and I sat with him for the most part, and he happened to have his bass with him, so he was holding it the whole time, and I think people thought he was performing, but he wasn't...Just had it with him. In the second half of Variety Night, I played a guitar song and sang; it was "Blackbird" by The Beatles. It was received a little better; I got a lot of comments later on. But when I did it, I was super anxious. I took a little while to get started; I even was like "Yeah, this is my first time singing in front of an audience...". Thursday: Today, I had to do a presentation in English. I can't say it went as well as I expected...For some reason, I was super-nervous. I had my script thing I made earlier, but I had shortened them into individual points. But when I spoke, I was nervous, and I wasn't completely following the sentences word for word; rather I was re-wording them as I went along. This is probably what people usually do, but for me, improvisation is one of the things that screw me up really easily. Anyway, I got a 40 out of 50. Another thing that happened today was that in History I had another "spontaneous" nosebleed. It's weird how I'm the only person I know who gets these...They can be quite annoying. I had another one later tonight...and I was sitting on my bed, so I had to get my blanket washed. Anyway...After school I went with John to Sarah's house for a little while...We tried to play some music...I dunno...It was alright...

Gaccch...Just sitting here not sleeping. Wondering what I should write in my journal...Today nothing much happened except that I did homework, I beat the Water Temple in Ocarina, I ate a sub for lunch mmm, and I had jazz band in the morning. My name is on at least two posters at school, under the people performing at Variety "Nite". At lunch Zack sent Tifa to find Reno to wake Sephy up. I'm thinking of doing my English presentation not on The Beatles themselves (that would take way too long), but rather an album of theirs, which is perhaps the most significant album they made: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It had a big impact on rock as well as the music industry itself. It's also sold more copies than any other album in history in the United Kingdom (Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is number one in America, but Sgt. Pepper does appear somewhere down that top ten list I think). Anyway...I'm done with that...

Well, I just realized two days ago it was a year since my first entry, oh well. Yesterday I went bowling with youth group. For some reason I tried ten-pin bowling this time instead. I sucked at it, but oh well. First time. As for today, well...There's not really much I can say. I got back from a four-day weekend, and a comparatively fun one at that, so it was a bit difficult to get back into the swing of things. Yeah, so Variety Night is on the 24th, and I'm playing some background music at some breakfast somewhere someday...Not much else at the moment...

Last night I was at Chris's party. I had some fun there...For no particular reason at all, I started naming people after Beatles songs. I am The Walrus (A.K.A. The Eggman), Chris is Dr. Robert, his brother Curtis is Rocky Raccoon, Sarah is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Trudi is Lovely Rita, Kristen is Eleanor Rigby, Alex is the Nowhere Man, Adam is Sgt. Pepper, Travis is Mr. Kite, Stevie is Strawberry Fields...Yeah, I guess I'm a loser (that's a Beatles song too! I'm a loser, and I lost someone endeared to me, I'm a loser, and I'm not what I appear to be...). While I'm at it, I might as well name people who are in the group but weren't at the party...Jessica: Polythene Pam, Kathy: Julia, girl-Alex: Lady Madonna, Sadie: Maharishi, John: Mean Mr. Mustard. Don't worry, I won't call you people those names; you'll just be those names to me. Heh. So what am I going to do today? Well, I'm going to church this afternoon, then tonight I'm going bowling with my youth group.

Yeah, today was pretty fun...I got up this morning, and did a bunch of cleaning, but besides that, it was fun...Sadie came over; we played Ocarina of Time for a little while (Homing arrows! That come back to you! It's totally original!); we watched TV ("You can hug em...You can hug em...Cabbage Patch"); we ate; we went to see The Incredibles. It's actually a pretty good movie...I think Violet is awesome. Just my opinion though...Yeah, Edna is pretty qeule too (but is it a man or woman? Sadie and I pondered this). Yeah, it's fun to hang around Sadie, which is great because I often get kinda depressed when I'm not having fun. Yeah, tomorrow is Chris's b-day party, so I guess I'll probaby go to that. I've thought of doing The Beatles for my oral presentation for English...But I'm also thinking, how would I fit it all in under ten minutes?

Well, today has been quite an interesting day! First off, we got report cards. My overall average was 91.6%, so I was satisfied with that. To break it down: English - 95, Math - 94, Guitar 91, Chemistry - 89, History - 89...I think that's how it went, I'm not sure I remember correctly. Today I brought my guitar and my amp to school. All day I was feeling some anxiety, but in English I actually got to play it in class, so that helped build up my confidence for my audition later. Variety Night auditions were in the band room; I played a song with my guitar, and another on the piano. They seemed to think it was alright; I'm basically in. There was a guy who played guitar a little while after me; he's been at it like four years, and he's really good, but I'm alright with that. After that, I got picked up by my parents, and we all ate at Costco. When we got home, I found that our basement had been rearranged...It looks pretty qeule. Oh yeah, and last night I went to an informational meeting regarding the German exchange program. Way too early to say if I'd actually want to go... Tonight I've been working on my Fahrenheit 9/11 paper. I'm not done yet, but I still have some more time on the weekend, and I think it'll all work out fine. I shall go to bed now.

Well, this weekend has been okay, more or less. Starting with my guitar lesson yesterday...After which I went to Midtown for a while, bought a CD of a guy named Ravi Shankar...An Indian composer and sitar player...I think he's supposed to be like the foremost promoter of East Indian music in Western Culture. He has the same b-day as me; I thought that was pretty qeule. Anyway, at the mall, I ate some food, then went to A & B Sound, where I bought a CD (actually, it's a two-disc album) of George Harrison, called All Things Must Pass. It's pretty good...I like "Art of Dying" and some of the other songs on it. Today is Halloween, of course...It is also, curiously, my dog's b-day. Today, I went to church in the morning...Hung around my house for a while...Then I went to youth group...That was pretty fun. We were supposed to dress up, sort of, so after I got to the church we found some stuff in the costume closet and I ended up being a "lumberjack", |o|...All I really did was wear my red plad shirt, some weird Roman soldier's helmet that sorta looked like a lumberjack hat when I wore it backwards, and I made an axe out of a sheperd's cane thingy and some paper. Anyway, I had some fun at youth group, I guess.

I'll have an idea by then...Even if I...don't...have a costume... When I told John I played guitar, he said his band was looking for a guitarist, and asked if I was interested in trying it out...Awesome... I signed up for auditioning for Variety Night... We listened to all the radio plays for English yesterday...They were funny...Today I found out that I have a 95 in English... Elipses galore...

Yeah, that was the reading slogan I came up with. Now our class, as well as Mr. Harrison's because we tied, gets pizza. Anyway, since I'm not here to brag about that, I'll say what else is going on. Today was alright, at the beginning anyway. In second period, I sat and listened to Sadie explain the plot of Tales of Symphonia ("Sinfonia?", |o|), accompanying herself with visual aids she made on a piece of paper |o| it was kinda funny. Anyway, we had a spare in period three, then we had a pep rally. Wasn't especially interesting. Period 4 history came along, not too interesting either. In Period 5, I think I nearly had a mental breakdown. We were trying to record our project, but then we found out we had taped over a few seconds of another group's, and they got mad at us, threw the blame pretty much in our faces, and I felt really horrible. This feeling carried over for pretty much the rest of the day.

On Thursday, I had a decent day. I played Classical Gas for my guitar project, and Mr. Brown said I "maxed out" simply because it was a high-level piece. On Friday, I had a miserable morning. I took a Chemistry test in period 1, and I, along with, may I emphasize, several other people, didn't finish. We obviously needed more time, and so of course we had to have a sub that day, no teacher to complain to. I was angry at not being able to finish; I even wrote "Need way more time" in the middle of my test. Then I walked to period 2...Only to find that every Grade 10 was supposed to be in their period 2 class all morning for this stupid CSIS thing...So I didn't actually have to do the test...So I was angry about that too. As for today, well, the morning went alright...I had a guitar lesson...Then I went to a church to practice with Eric, Russel, and Alan on the worship stuff...Then after that I had a miserable afternoon because of my computer...And that's pretty much it...

Hi. Wondering where I've been? *nobody answers* Damn! Here I am, and I must say much has happened since my last update. First I'll take you back nearly two weeks ago. We had a long weekend, and I spent all of it in Victoria. On Friday, my mother and I took a plane to Vancouver, took a bus to the ferry, and took a ferry to Victoria, then my uncle and aunt drove us to their house. The trip took six or seven hours in total. I finally got to see my sister; she seems to be doing fine. On Sunday I went to a church service in Victoria, and I met some people I would've probably befriended if I lived there. Many of them were musicians and singers for the church; I hung out with them after church while they practiced their music, it was pretty qeule. I got the e-mail addresses of two of them, Melanie and Jon, so I haven't completely lost contact. Anyway, I stayed in Victoria until Wednesday (missing a day and a half of school), before coming home. In more recent news, well...The bus trips home from school have been rather strange because I've met people on the bus...And I seem to be popular among them on the trips home...They know my name *gasp* Stalkers! Mecch. It's weird how I seem to keep meeting these sort of people and they suddenly like me... It's been snowing recently. Really now... All period 2 classes are apparently trying to come up with a slogan involving reading. Mr. Moore told our Math class about it yesterday. I posed one, and people seemed to like it. Today we came up with a bunch more, but a majority of people still voted for the one I made the day before, so it became our decision. Joseph came up with a good one: "Bedford Football: At least we can read"...but that didn't make the final cut. Among things coming up in the future are: -Project for guitar; I'm probably going to do a song. I'm trying to learn "Classical Gas" as a potential for the project. My guitar teacher (Stephen, not Mr. Brown) tabbed out the Eric Clapton version for me (it was by Mason Williams originally, useless knowledge of course), but I only recently managed to get a hold of the song to listen for the rhythm. -Radio show project: In English, we're working in groups to write and record a "radio program". It's supposed to resemble The War of the Worlds, in that it could create a national panic if people didn't know it was fiction. -Chemistry unit test: Friday. -History: In History we watched Fahrenheit 9/11 recently, and now we've been discussing it. We're talking about both sides of the argument, and we're apparently going to do/write a "dialectic" argument on it.

Yeah, I don't have much time, because I have to go to bed right away, but I'll briefly go over today. Today was the awards ceremony. I got on the honor roll, and I also got a subject award for Science 9/10 Adv, that was pretty qeule. After school, all I really did was practice piano, do homework, eat, and for no particular reason, watch the vice-presidential debate. Good ol' American politics. We never have anything going on up here in Canada, do we? Nothing but mad-cow this, west-nile that. Mecch. Politics. News. I'm pretty proud of my award, don't have much else to say.

Apparently, my new nickname is "Fingers". |o| yeah, I see these people on the bus after school, and that's what they call me now. Apart from that, what else can I say really? Let's see, I got a 93% on my Chemistry test, and the same on my math test. On Wednesday and Thursday, we've had a sub for history named Mr. Piecowie. What the photon is up with him? He sat there reading stuff from the textbook about the Revolution we'd already read, and he would talk in hand motions. "Why did they invade Austria?" *raises hand to mouth in an eating motion*. One time while he was walking around on the second day, he picked up my wallet from my desk and was like "What's in here?" Then he opened it, and looked through my change. Oh well. The next day, Mr. Hawley was back, and we did an in-class essay. In English on Thursday, we played basketball outside. Mr. Dawe is awesome to be taught by. On Friday, he read this super long short story (wow, an oxymoron) that took up most of the class. Then we started talking gossip of some graduate from some other school who's going out with the basketball coach. Mecch. Yesterday, I had a guitar lesson. Next week, I'm apparently going to Victoria for the weekend and slightly into the school week.

I just got back from the retreat with my youth group at Christopher Lake, which took place between Friday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. It was pretty fun. We slept in the rooms on the second floor of the lodge...My room was with Stephen and David. The first night we stayed up really late, and the girls did too, and we kept writing notes under the crack of our door. Then I was tired in the morning. It's interesting hanging out with all of these people I haven't really seen for more than a year, since I moved to our high school youth group. David, Eva, Andrew, Logan, Rachel, and such. When I last saw them (excluding our previous two youth meetings this year), I wasn't playing guitar. I took it to the lake like I did last month. It was recieved pretty well, I guess. I figured out the chords to the camp songs we sang at our service this morning, so I was like their music section basically. A couple of inside jokes cropped up several times in the course of time, including "Austria!" and "Bown chikka wow wown!" (and the image from Stephen's book...). I leave you with this advice: Don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk.
