Cazzle's Blurty

Happy day!
I'm in a surprisingly good mood, mostly because:

a) Storytime went really well today. We had just the right mixture of songs, rhymes and stories, and the kids were really paying attention. (Hurrah!) At the end, we did The Very Hungry Caterpillar, with our fabulous prop (which has all the food, and the kids come up and feed to the caterpillar), and at the end I gave them all STICKERS :-D I scrounged from the marketing department at Puffin. (I sent an email and got a lovely reply from a lass in their marketing department, who also sent me some posters and loads of sheets of stickers. Rock!)

b) I'm going to be a Summer Reading Challenge coach again! I was a "librarian coach" last year, when the Challenge was sport themed. This year it's called Questseekers and it's a fantasy/adventure theme. The website will have a Talking Tree, and the kids have to ask the Tree Folk (librarians!) for reading advice. CAN YOU GET ANY MORE RIDICULOUSLY TWEE? I THINK NOT.

c) Xan's presents arrived! And he loves them! I think that one speaks for itself.

d) Tomorrow is my last day at work before I am SEEING WDERS!!! SQUEEE!
