just some rantings [03 Nov 2003|05:27pm] [ mood | giggly ] [ music | charmed ] is it just me or is anyone else having difficulty with the blurty website? it's taking forever to load, and then sometimes it won't even load...and I can't get to my friends page half the time. of course it could just be my internet explorer being a nitwit. who knows. so i'm giving up trying to get on. I guess I'll look at it later and see about the communities. I want to looke into Live Journal communities too. I'm really starting to get into this whole journal keeping thing again. I used to have one I wrote in everyday, but i filled it and never got a new blank book. This works out much better. and people can read all about my life on here. I wonder, how many people actually do read this? if you read this go ahead and comment just so I can get a count. I've been posting up quite a few things today...on here and live journal, mostly live journal actually. wedding planning... [21 Oct 2003|01:41pm] [ mood | distressed ] [ music | Celtic Christmas CD ] I'm working on my wedding plans and feeling like crap cuz I want don't want to exclude my friends, but I really want it to be a small family thing. I just hope no one gets offended by my decsion. Will has told me that he wants me to have my perfect wedding. I'm going in the direction of small, pretty intimate. I have a fairly large extended family as it is, if I invited every one we know, I'd need to find a HUGE place. and I really don't want a big circus. I want small, very few but very close family. So I'm am working on revising the guest list. I would love to have my out of state family attend, but that usually just turns into a circus and I want to avoid that. I have a feeling i'm making this much more stressful than it needs to be. I know in my head what I want, and now I just hve to figure out how to make it happen. I've figured out the dress, now i need to go down there and set up a try on date and fitting time. I need to look for new boots to wear under my dress, or I could wear my bright pink ones...they came in last friday and they are great! ON the one hand i'm looking forward to my wedding, on the other, i resent the social obligations placed on me to have it a certain way. I'm wearing a white gown, i have decided to say "screw tradition" and wear what I want to wear and to hell with anyone who is going to say crap to me about it being my second wedding. If i can get that dress that I have seen and think is SO pretty that is. if not, the other option i've looked at is wearing a nice bride's maid's dress in purple. having the wedding in february puts it's own constraints on things. I hve to take the weather into consideration, many of our guest list is over the age of 50 and well, it would not do for them to get sick because i instisted on an outside wedding. I've decided that if we can have it at tips for as much or less than having it at the big hall here at the club house, then I will go that route. if not, I may go ahead and book the entire clubhouse, it's only $275 deposit for both, and the same to rent both. if we clean it very well after words, we get the deposit back. that way I can have the wedding and reception at the same site, and we can walk from my house to the wedding site, something I find to be very interesting custom. German custom to drive/walk the couple thru the town (this case neighborhood) honking horns and hollering to announce their wedding to the community. I will look into it. Dad has offered to pay for and prepare the food. He has brisket, beans, potato salad, tortillas and such in mind. if nanny can make the stuffed peppers, that would make an interesting appitizer. I'm thinking perhaps a buffet lay out type situation. I wil ask his mom to bring the sausage, and maybe Chuck would be willing to make a ton of his broccoli casserole. things are starting to fall into place, but nothing is set in stone so i feel overwhelmed. the only thing set in stone is a handful of guests that wouldn't miss it for the world. My granny, aunt rosie and her baby, his family, my dad and becky, my grandparents, Tori, Dawn, nanny, mom & dad (dawn's). if that's all that shows, well, great! all kinds of mad left overs so i don't hve to cook or nothing my first week as his official wife. decisions are not my strong suit. I wish i could just pay someone to plan the whole thing. But that is not me. I want to be involved. ah well, that just means i bring this on myself. 2 comments|post comment

interesting time last night [15 Oct 2003|11:18am] [ mood | contemplative ] [ music | VH1 celebrity tears ] we went to PNO last night. We met a lady who was very nice. she and will had a nice conversation. I'd heard most of it, so I talked to other people. and then my ex came over and sat with a group of people that had pulled up a table (literally) to sit where we were. It was interesting. It was kinda nice to talk with her. almost like old times. but not quite. ah well, I figure i'll be seeing her a lot more, if I decide to get more ivolved in the pagan community in san antonio. Will says when i make up my mind to do something, I go whole hog into it! That's just my personality i guess. It's not really all that bad, i don't think. anyway, other than seeing my ex and having a decent conversation with her (i'm suprised, it went well) last night was pretty cool. I saw amanda and her man (Hi amanda if you read this) I hope this turns out to be a nice outing for us, or at least for me, every month. I am really getting into my pagan studies, I took the first test on the first degree correlian course and missed only one question. it's good enough to pass it so that works. I just hope I can keep up doing so well. I need to practice visualization more. It's hard for me for some reason. I just am way too uptight i think. I still need to do my ritual, I have not been able to find sage! being on a tight budget does not exactly help things either...but then again, maybe i am being too picky. I found rubbed sage, but it's for cooking, i guess it oughta work. but I want the whole leaves...and I think it is me being hard headed. but since i have it in my head that it should be whole sage, it won't work anyway if i use something else. well, Thank the Goddess that I was able to go last night and that I actually had a good time. 1 comment|post comment

I'm sick ACHOO! [12 Oct 2003|12:46pm] [ mood | bored ] [ music | Courtney Love on E! ] I was sick last night and had Will call in for me. I put the money order for my boots in the mail Friday, and because of stinkin' Columbus day, the guy won't get them till at the earliest Tuesday! then, I won't get my boots till Friday or saturday... But hopefully they will be here for Halloween and I can wear them to work, or if we get to go to the event friday, at coronation.. I will wear them that week end, for some of the time at least. I don't want them to get too muddy and icky. and I hope they don't give me any shit for wearing PINK boots at work. you know, not very conservative. LOL it's all good i guess. I found out that it will be about a year until we can get our house! ONLY one year!!! *does the happy dance* I'm so excited. I hve figured out my the dress I will wear at my wedding, and I have a good idea for the Tuxedo that he will wear. and I am thinking of having a very small event. Just family and maybe a couple of friends. on the one hand I want the BIG huge event, but on the other hand I can't afford the BIG HUGE event, so I will have to stick with what I can afford. and I figure it will still be nice. I can ask Rosie if she will take pictures for me, and ask granny and his mom if they can help cooking. I need to go to the POA and find out if I can use the clubhouse for it. IT's all good. now to find the pair of purple ones for me, and black ones for will so he can have his saracen boots. I'll buy his either next pay check or in november, since I will be having OT this month, i should be able to afford his on my next payday.
