    Time Event
    12:56p
    Belonging.
The church that I go to, although not perfect, has definitely been a source of support for me over the months. Just the feeling that I belong has been wonderful. The singing, of course, has been a joy. I have often harped on about how much I love to sing.

Today I realised how much I belong there. Everyone asked where I'd been and how I was. They'd been really worried that I'd been ill. Elizabeth, one of the sopranos, had called one of the women in the choir, who had called someone who lives in my road, who vaguely recognised the description of me and said she'd ask another friend if they knew if anything was wrong with me. Elizabeth was even going to check the electoral roll for my number. My number isn't on the electoral roll though, so it's good that she didn't go all the way to City Hall and get an appointment just to find it out. She now has my number, and when I get my mobile, I'll be sure to put both hers and Peter's in it in case I can't get to church in future. These lovely people were frantically worried about me because I hadn't been seen since the carol service. And yet my "friends" who I very rarely see don't even check up on me.

There was a Trade Craft stall in the church hall after the service today. Trade Craft sell a whole lot of fair trade things. From food stuffs to odds and ends. I saw the most marvelous thing there today, and I hope it'll be there next time (they have the stall every second Sunday, and the guy who runs it is Phil, who was the first church member to greet me). It was this little wooden box filled with five wooden dice (ideal for Yahtzee!). And the box itself had dice markings on the outside. It was a fiver. It would be an ideal gift for Lex for her birthday if I feel like sending her something. Or alternatively, a fantastic present for myself!

Okay, I suppose I should finally give a little bit of a phone update. Well, I rang up today and the order has not been canceled and I was again told that they should be delivered by Tuesday. On top of that, the woman I've been communicating with emailed me back confirming the order, saying that it should be delivered on Tuesday, and even giving me the name of the couriers (City Link - which I think means we can't guarantee on an early delivery). One person amongst them all has been competent. Well, her and the person who put my final order on the system. I'm wondering if I can find a contact address for BT customer services so that I can praise her. It's one thing always complaining, but these people rarely receive words of praise, and I think this woman actually deserves some! If it hadn't been for her I might have given up on this order a long time ago.

But I want my phone NOW! *sob*.

I'm crap at Puzzle Donkey. Rat had to help me with the last question (he got it immediately). I'm now on puzzle 10 of round 1. It's a standard riddle so I should be able to get it with a little work.

Fairly perfect. Shame the long happy life in Gondor can't be spent with Faramir. *sigh*.
