Well, I forgot to turn my clocks back one hour last night, so I've got up even earlier than I meant to! Yay me! I'm supposed to write my Elegy essay for Tuesday apparently, so I've got to put some work in this weekend, and I didn't do any yesterday. Ah, the guilt....
Had a bit of a crappy day on Friday as well, another long silence infused session with Professor Levene. so we've decided that history is probably a better idea, and apparently that's what he's really interested in, so it might go better and I'll make him like me yet. I really hate being dreadful at things so I didn't feel up to telling the story again on Friday. Plus there was crappiness with the trains going home that put me in a terminally bad mood! The train going back was the Edinburgh to Cardiff - that's quite a long way, right? - four carriages!! So everybody who was waiting at Leeds piled on and it was so full that the driver told us that some of the passengers would have to get off or he woldn't be able to move the train because of safety restrictions! Bloody Virgin trains! I only have to go through two stops worth to get home (which is supposed to take 44 minutes) and there are loads of slower, older services that run to Sheffield so, as the driver suggested, I got off, with loads of others to catch the one that was at a neighbouring platform. But of course, because everyone else had decided to do the same, that train was full too. Curses!! So I basically had to wait another twenty minutes in the cold for the next slower train. Grrrr. so I was bad-tempered by the time I got home. It went away quickly enough, but I was pretty tired - or logic suggests I must have been, because I went to bed for a bit about 9 o'clock....and I didn't wake up til 3.
Yesterday we (my mum and I) were going to allez au cinema (my French sucks and I make no apology - blame my crappy French teacher!), to see Intolerable Cruelty avec George Clooney, (mmmm;)) but mum didn't feel up to it. :( But we may well go today, which will take me nicely away from work once again!!
Thing is, what with all this work to do I've not had a chance to get on with my story, which has been at the back of my mind all week, nudging at me to get writing. It's all hellishness at the moment.
But, I did have my hair cut short yesterday - which is always kinda liberating! ;)
