5:20p - possibly god is trying to tell me something...
So, Leeds sent me some more stuff about the MA yesterday. There's a meeting on September 19th for departmental registration and so on. (Have to get some passport size pictures - grrr.) But hopefully there will be some cool people there who I can stand around and smile at. (Yay for my social skills.)

However, they've updated the module course documenty thing and now I've got the new list of modules that they're offering. Hmmm.
It's not a big 'hmmm' I suppose, I'm just a bit pissed off.

See, first off, there are about twice as many Greek modules as there are Latin. Which in itself is not a bad thing - except that because I'm down for the Classics MA, where you read texts in the original language, and I can't read Greek, I can't take them. If I could read Greek then I'd take Greek Cultural Attitudes (think that's what it's called), but hey.

As it is I'm going to have to take something else. So:

  • Dissertation, which will be on the Aeneid, I'm just not sure what yet! That's 60 credits

  • Special Subject, which will be Roman Religion. I've always wanted to do this, but it was never offered in Durham.

  • Additional Subject 1, which will be the Aeneid again. I'm a Vergil whore. So shoot me!

  • And last but not least...my not-really-a-choice-but-I-don't-want-to-take-anything-else module:
Additional Subject 2, Roman Elegiac Myth, which will be Ovid, Tibullus and Propertius and the mythology they used in their poems. It should be fine really, I'm just griping.

So a month to go, and I still haven't figured out a dissertation topic yet. Hmmmm. The library beckons methinks.
