8:49a - that was the funnest coma ever
question: what the hell is a tootsie roll? not in an existential way, but literally, what is a tootsie roll? is it toffee? is it caramel? is it flavored wax? and just what exactly is the flavor, anyway? tootsie rolls are completely unidentifiable mystery treats! i mean, they still taste good and all. i'm eating one right now. mmmm, tootsie-y goodness.
but that's neither here nor there, really. a couple of things: went to see 28 days later, the danny boyle-helmed apocalypse fable, which i kinda thought was going to be the sequal to sandra bullock's stunning pseudo-dramatic turn as a recovering addict, 28 days. i was very wrong, as i learned when i saw the previews which totally made the flick seem like a zombie movie, which would have been awesome, as i am all about the zombie movies. it's actually about this weird killer virus that's kinda like rabies and makes you go psycho-brain-eating nuts before you die. but without the brain-eating. that would have been cool. so anyway. went to see 28 days later. i was pretty much so scared that i started crying, almost peed myself and refused to walk home because "it's dark outside! they could jump out of any alley and eat my brains!" upon which i was reminded that they wouldn't eat my brains, but STILL.
yeah. oh, AND, someone else called me asian today. WHAT THE FUCK!!! it reminded me of something i wrote in one of these lame mass emails TWO YEARS AGO:
oh, and by the way, this is completely off-topic, but someone i know, again, not mentioning any names, katie lowry, told a friend of hers that i'm "asian." and then i said incredulously ('incredulously,' a word that usually denotes 'with great surprise,' here may be interpreted as 'in a tone of voice as to imply that she had lost her fucking mind.'), "...i'm not asian." and she said, (and i quote) "oh, whatever." i don't think any less of the unnamed party for this, but i thought i should just let you all know, for future reference, that i'm not fucking asian.
seriously, guys.
