12:55p - i’m lazy in a way that is entirely my own
so, remember how last time i asked you guys to get me david boreanaz and a pony for my birthday (which is this friday, in case you didn't get it the first time)? well, come on, you guys. i was clearly joking. i mean, really. i'm way too tall for a pony. i'd kill the poor sucker. david boreanaz, on the other hand, i coud totally handle. and, yes, i mean that exactly the way it sounds.
okay, so here's the bitching and moaning of the week: so there's this new guy. his name is ajit and he's very nice. he's a transfer from exec accounting. the week before he got here, i submitted an employee change notice, requesting that HR change three things: his location code, his reports to manager, and his cost center. easy peasy. right. six weeks later. his cost center has changed. yay! his location code has changed...incorrectly. boo! his reports to manager...hasn't changed at all. what the fuck? so i call in to see what's going on with this bullshit, because since his location is wrong, his paycheck goes somewhere else and since his manager is wrong, they won't let us have any of her personel material. assholes. so i call and they're like, oh well, you'll have to submit an employee change notice to get that changed, to which i responded, I ALREADY DID, ASSHOLE. without the "asshole" part. the genius h.r. specialist says, oh well then the notice must not have been processed. which is clearly WAS since they changed some of his info but not all of it. the guy's like, yeah, well, you'll have to submit another request and i'm thinking why the FUCK should i? you assholes cocked it up the first time, so what, you're gonna get it right this time? for all i know, they'll make this guy's paycheck go to fort worth and he'll report to kerry killinger! (that last kerry killinger bit would have been funny to you if you work here.)
assholes. fuck them. i'm gonna go down to second and seneca, rip up some paving stones and stage a fucking rebellion. my fellow insurrectionists and i shall wear bleu blanc et rouge and polish up our muskets (or whatever) and sing inspirational tunes from atop the barricades until the walls of incompetance come tumbing down! "vive la quick, timely and accurate processing of human resources paperwork!" it's a rallying cry that will reach every ear! the citizens will join in our glorious revolt and soon we shall be liberated from tiresome bureaucracy. unless they call in the national guard. then we're toast.
man, that would be cool. i mean, aside from that whole dying in a hail of bullets thing.
"wow, a whole dollar just for me - i'm the luckiest delivery man ever."
