11:59a - killing pigs is wrong. And also, so hard
see, this is the thing--while i'm not pro-war, per se, i am anti-anti-war protesters who can't make a good case, because there is nothing more annoying than stupid people lobbying for a good cause. i mean, this is the basis of of the protest culture, you know, we're right, big brother is wrong, we are good; they are bad, we are just; they are unjust, and so on and so forth, world without end. if the establishment has a better argument than the hippies, the state of things is dire indeed. when i see anti-war protesters on tv and find myself arguing with them, something is wrong, goddammit.

"when is bush going to finally hear us, the voice of the people?"

just because he's not doing what you want him to do doesn't mean that he didn't hear you, tigers. oh, and "voice of the people?" at last new york times count, it was thirty percent of the people.

"did you hear bush tell the iraqis not to burn the oil fields? see, it's all about oil and fat cash."

hey, jackass, burning oil fields is BAD. remember what happened the last time they did that, man, it took like 12 years to put that shit out, and i'm not even exaggerating here. you're a hippie, don't you care about the environment, not to mention, you know, pretty much the only livelihood the region has? i mean, they're gonna need that oil money to re-build the country after we've bombed the shit out of it

"we need a democrat back in the white house."

okay, first of all--don't pander to the man. democrats aren't necessarily any better than republicans, given the few choices we have at present. and second of all--a democrat, back in the white house? hey, remember clinton? i loved him. LOVED. i want him to be president forever, got that, forever. but dudes...some things that clinton did: call for the forcible disarmament of saddam hussein, support the iraq liberation act, oh, and BOMB THE SHIT out of iraq.

dammit. i'm not saying that peaceniks are wrong, i'm just saying that the protesters need to get on board here because their most vocal spokespeople (the ones i see on television or protesting at the fucking MALL, who protests at the goddamn mall, people, answer me that) are starting to sound mildly retarded and i don't want to be on george w. bush's side, but you're not giving me much choice here.

oh and an open letter to anyone serving or partaking in "freedom" fries or "freedom" toast: i think france sucks as much as the next guy, okay? it's true, they are a jerky, pain-in-the-ass country and we're right to think that they're whiny fucking pussies, especially since they're not as much afraid of death and destruction as they are of american hegemony. but this is the thing...how is it that on the brink of war, we still have time to be petty? airquote freedom fries? yeah, that'll teach france a thing or two, won't it? man, we are such dickheads.

a sidenote: does anybody not understand why france is on the un security council anyway? i mean, why? and for that matter, does anybody understand why GERMANY is on the security council? don't you lose some sway when you, oh say, try to take over the world? twice?

"hey man, you're preaching to the guy who ate the choir"
