:D I am the best coder evar.
I'm designing a website for the office I work in here on campus, and my boss (who, incidentally, is also my uncle) wants it to have an expanding menu, where you're shown just the topic headers and when you click on one, it expands to show you more specific links below it. I experimented with a few methods, like having separate pages with different menus expanded and reloading to the correct one each time the main page changes. But in the end I decided that was too inefficient and went looking for some JavaScript to do it.
I found an example that seemed to be short and sweet, but it was barely understandable, even with me having a little bit of JavaScript background. But I looked the thing over and pulled out what I needed, and now I've got a nice little menu, and if you click on one menu item, that item will expand and any other open menus will collapse. I was pretty proud of that. I'll have to upload it sometime.
Am now in the computer lab, finishing up these silly programming assignments. My Tylenol Sinus has worn off, but I'm waiting to take the next dose, so it'll last all the way through the wonderful two-and-a-half-hour block of class I have at 4:30pm. >_> And then I need to study for a Calculus exam, so no telling if/when I'll be on AIM tonight.
Five and a half days of class, then four finals, then I'm done.
