Arr. [30 Mar 2006 | duel start @ 01:11am]
[ mood | exhausted ]
[ music | Kaze wo Tsukinukete ~ Hashimoto Jin ]

IT IS DONE. :O

Personally, I think parts of it are crap, but knowing my track record, that means I'll get at least an A- on it.

Don't you love it when you spend a half hour doing a huge long calculation involving an integral and a sum squared and a square root, and the whole damned thing turns out to be equal to 8? You're expecting some huge complicated number with squares and square roots and pis and sins and coses and God knows what else, and then you get the answer, and you're like, "...I did all that work for an 8?"

NOW IT IS TIME TO GO TO BED. :O

EDIT, approzimately two and a half seconds later:

Oh, and it turned out to be twenty-six pages with calculations. That means one less paper for origami. :( Woe.

EDIT, 3/30/06, 5:19pm:

Approximately. I can spell. D:

Stander! [30 Mar 2006 | duel start @ 04:42pm]

UD is having our Stander Symposium on Wednesday, which is a day where classes are cancelled and students and faculty present research that they've done. It's a huge event, with all kinds of panel discussions and presentations and things. I'm looking over the schedule now, trying to decide what I want to go to, and I found one called "Mathematics Through Origami." I'm so going to that one. XDD

...Wow, I want to go to so many of these. I'm definitely going to Dr. Barnes and Fr. Heft's presentation, "The Intersection of Science and Theology." I'm quite looking forward to that. Dr. Barnes and Fr. Heft will present an argument that both faith and reason apply to both theology and science, and a Physics and a Biology professor whom I haven't met will present an argument that faith is only compatible with theology and reason only with science. This is a topic of endless fascination for me, as I'm sure you've gathered by now. >_>

I definitely want to hear a lot of the music. That's going to be in the Torch Lounge all day, so I can pop in and out. There's a presentation called "Flight Algorithm Hardware Enhancement" that looks pretty cool, and a discussion on whether basic engineering courses should be added to the general education requirements. And my Intro to Religion professor will be giving a presentation on the sacrament of Confirmation and the writings of Thomas Merton. Decisions, decisions. I won't have time to eat lunch. o_O

Today was a good day. Even besides the fact that it's seventy degrees (!!), sunny, and gorgeous, it's been a good day. For one, I'm finished with that lab report. And I did my last lab this morning. We rushed to finish it before the end of class so we won't have to come in next Thursday to finish it. Although I'm a bit sad to say goodbye to my cool lab partner, it'll be nice to sleep in next Thursday. >_>

Whee, I'm excited about Stander now. I didn't go last year because I was but a puny freshman who had no idea what was going on on campus.

See, Goji, here's the origami thing from last year. I'm definitely going to that one. :P Ooh, and another one.

*dead. again.*

;_; Nuu, Yami can't leave. Or have his funeral. Or do whatever it is he's planning to do. I'm not ready to give up all hope for Darksideshipping yet.

Went to the library to print out my NaNo story so I can edit it during Easter break. Stopped by KU on the way back and got dinner. Made it all the way back to my room before I realized that I had left the NaNo story back at KU. >_> Left dinner in the room, went back to KU, rescued the NaNo story, came back, and ate my spaghetti. Yum. It was better than Marycrest's spaghetti. I wondered at that for a while, since all the dining halls on campus order their food from the same place. o_O
