OMG, grey_shade is back. w00t. I love nefthoron's Bakura to pieces. Probably something to do with this post. And the first three comments in this thread. And the paragraph addressed to Diabound in this post. And the fact that he's one of the few non-Kaiba-family characters who can keep Seto's attention in an intelligent conversation. I find the latter most interesting of all, though for completely innocent reasons. Bakura is a fun character, really. So much complexity.
Oh, and also this quote:
"Am now to all intents and purposes rather bored, and with an odd desire to play Internet Checkers. Hopefully, I will quash this geekery before it actualises itself." ~ grey_shade
XD
Bah, I have a headache. I was squinting at the screen for about fifteen minutes before I remembered that my laptop does indeed have a brightness control. Mwaha. My eyes feel much better now. And before you ask, no, I can't just turn off the computer and go to bed, because I have a Windows Programming assignment to finish.
In other news, my mom sent me a flower-growing kit for Valentine's Day. After taking much time to carefully read up on the proper growing technique for forget-me-nots, because, according to past experience, I seem to have a knack for killing plants, I now have a little flower pot, about two inches in diameter, on top of my drawer-tower-thing. Near the window, but not on the windowsill, you see, because forget-me-nots are shade plants and it's too cold over by the window.
Planting the flower seeds was actually quite the experience. The entire kit came inside the tiny flower pot, and consisted of a small packet of seeds and a dry dirt pellet, about one inch in diameter and maybe a half-inch thick. The instructions said to measure out one-sixth of a cup of water and put the dirt in it and let it absorb the water. I attempted to approximate one-sixth of a cup of water, rather pathetically since we have no measuring cups or spoons and I have no idea how much one-sixth of a cup is. I put the water in a little plastic condiment-cup that I had stolen taken from the cafeteria (took me forever to remember to do that, I ended up having to stick a post-it note on my ID card to remind myself to get something to mix the dirt in). As soon as that little dirt pellet hit the water, it went FOOM. I had no idea there could be so much potting soil compressed into that little pellet. XDD I think I have enough left over to fill two more of those little pots.
So, I planted the seeds, and am watering them faithfully (while hoping I don't water them too much; like I said, I have the opposite of a green thumb). No sprouts yet, but I shall be very excited when I see that first little bit of green.
Wow, this song rocks. It's by the group that sings Ashita Moshi Kimi ga Kowaretemo, the closing theme for the first Yuugiou series. I should listen to it more often. My playlist doesn't shuffle too well, ends up giving me the same songs a lot of the time. >_> Maybe there's a patch out there to fix that, or something.
Hmm. Homework summons me. Hopefully this won't take too long.
