DigiLightstar: ...I love it that Kisara is having finals at the same time I am. It means I get to whine twice as much. 8D

I knew I had a reason for wanting to start her at a different university. XD

I am mildly distressed by the fact that every time I'm listening to a song by this group, I can never remember how to spell "graffiti." D: I also keep wanting to look for more of their music but am too frightened to attempt a Yahoo search on "Porno Graffiti."

You know what the nice thing about Physics is? It all makes sense. You don't have to memorize facts. You just have to know how to do a puzzle. ...Really. For all our tests, the professor gives us an equation sheet with all the equations we'll need on it, like V=IR and all those other important equations that are a pain to memorize. And all you have to do is look at the problem, break it down and see what pieces you have, and then let the equations tell you how to piece it all together right.

I'm such a scientist. Unfortunately, this is not always a benefit. Which is why is recently came to my attention that I will not, in fact, be minoring in English, but rather in Religious Studies. Need some balance. And I hate writing papers, so an English minor might wind up being Not Fun. Although Religious Studies involves a fair amount of paper-writing, too, according to the course descriptions I've looked at. ...Maybe English would be a better choice in that regard, since I could take classes like Poetry and Short Story and Technical Writing and not have to write research papers, which are what I really hate. >_>

Also, you know what the problem with Yuugiou is? You can never watch just one episode. Because most of the episodes are big, dramatic duels, and there are very few duels that only take one episode. And you can't start in the middle of a duel, unless it's an especially pwnsome episode like 180, and you can't just stop before you see the dramatic end of the duel. So watching Yuugiou becomes a 45-minute commitment, at the least. Two hours, in the case of the big six-part Yami vs. Kaiba on top of Alcatraz duel which I still haven't watched *shot*. Which is not good when all you need is a quick study break.

Bah. Blurty needs to allow more than three icons.

I. Love. This. Post. Yami and Kaiba's conversation is the best literary work I've read in a long time.

And Savior made all of Yami's ASFDJKJCAPSLOCK posts private or deleted. D: Kisara doesn't get to know what's going on now. Maybe that's for the best, though, since Yami seems to be rather fragile at the moment. She can at least stumble across the one linked above, which mentions the asylum at the top, and know that much.

Bah. I should really be studying at the moment, but I'm exhausted and can't focus, so I think I'll leave it for tomorrow. Plenty of time left. So I should stop worrying and beating myself up over the fact that I haven't spent any time studying yet and just relax and go to sleep, or I won't be any good tomorrow. But if I go to bed now, I'm worried that I won't be able to sleep because it's too early and I'll think that I should be up and studying and the worrying will keep me awake, making the time useless anyway. But if I start studying, I'll think that it's too late at night and I only have about an hour before I need to go to sleep anyway and I won't be able to dig in and focus enough to actually accomplish anything useful.

...I sound like Yami. I blame it on that post I just read.

I chose a good schedule this semester. Physics and Calculus are both classes that build on themselves, so I'm still using the stuff that I learned at the beginning of the semester. I won't have to study much for those, except possibly reviewing electric field stuff for Physics. Data Structures is just easy, and File Processing will be a pain as usual, but I'm not worried.

Despite not being worried, however, I still want these three days to be over. D:

;_; I am such a wimp. I watch the dub 219, the dub, with Yuugi's squeaky voice and Bakura's orgasmic screams and Seto being a jerk and Seth's olde English and corny lines and edited fight scenes, and I still cry.

...Although I did have to pause the episode because I was laughing so hard after Seto made the Duel Disk appear on his arm and was like, "Hey, it worked!!"

...Wait, that was 218. Well, I watched them both today. And they both pwn. I love the way Yami reacts to Seto all the way through this arc. "I know you know what to do!!"

Gah. And then the end of 219, with Seth stammering (very unconvincingly, I'm afraid) and Yami being all cool. That was when I started crying. I love Dan Green. He does almost as good a job with Yami as Kazama Shunsuke does. Now if Yuugi would just stop squeaking. >_> I swear, when he summoned that big dragon-thing (can't remember its name) in his duel with Bakura, my ears started bleeding.

Halakti pwns. Even though she didn't have a name in the dub, other than the Creator of Light. I still love the fact that the ultimate ultimate monster in this series is female. XP

...Really. You need to listen to Bakura screaming when Yuugi's dragon is killing all his freaky mannequin things.

And of course the end was good. Seto admitted that it's not a hologram!! :O Someone look out the window for me and make sure the world isn't ending. Also, I thank God and all that is good that the dub writers didn't give him some snarky line while he was playing the Ring of Defense.

Also, the post that made me go watch these two episodes in the first place. XD

Okay. Any fans of the Japanese series, listen up. I have a gift for you. This little thing of beauty is a song called "Kibou no Uta." As you may or may not know, many of our beloved Yuugiou seiyuu also do voice acting for Prince of Tennis, and Prince of Tennis has lots and lots of character image songs, something that Yuugiou is sadly lacking. (I would kill for a Seto image song. ;_;) Seto's voice actor, Tsuda Kenjirou, plays one of the main (I think) characters, Inui Sadaharu. Jounouchi's voice actor, Takahashi Hiroki, plays another guy named Kikumaru Eiji. Honda's series 1 voice actor, Okiayu Ryoutarou, who has a beautiful voice, plays Tezuka Kunimitsu.

And all three of them sing this song together. I'm sure you'll recognize Seto's voice, Inui sounds almost just like him. Jounouchi is the kind of squeaky one (yes, that's really Jounouchi, I promise), and Honda is the lead singer. Here's the download. Enjoy, I know I do. XD

I am highly amused at just how often Bakura is equated with a bunny in this fandom.

I never would have thought to dip carrot sticks in peanut butter, but there was a container of carrot sticks in the cooler in the cafeteria and it had a little thing of peanut butter in it. I don't like ranch, so I thought "Why not?", and it's actually pretty good.

...Bah. I was so gonna pwn in that duel. I hate getting disconnected.

Ah, and now we need to actually pick out the photos for Yami's photoshoot. ...How in the world did I ever miss these two posts when they were posted? XDD I so would have used one of those icons. Probably #6. That's one pairing that completely squicks me but still holds some small amount of interest, just for amusement value. And I think I may have gotten a bit carried away with the pwning thing, but that was extremely amusing also. I still have that banner in my userinfo, I think.

I CAN'T GET MY DAMNED BACKGROUND IMAGES TO WORK.

So. I want two background images. One of Kisara in the bottom right corner, and a Blue-Eyes in the top left corner. I want them both to be fixed. Apparently it is possible to accomplish this by specifying a background for the <html> tag, but LJ won't let me get at the space above that tag to specify it. *tears hair out*

Forty minutes later...

Damn. Almost got it. Your whole journal is enclosed inside a <div> tag. You can do some cool stuff by manipulating this tag. Basically I gave it a background and then set it to scroll instead of having the body do the scrolling. It worked, but the div doesn't fill the whole page and it left me with a little border and didn't look quite right. So, Kisara must be without her Blue-Eyes. ;_; Now I have to fix up the colors and do a little more Photoshopping to the bottom left corner of Kisara, I forgot that part would be visible at the bottom of the page.

Yay, for I have my computer back!! I got back to my room to find a phone message from one of the Tangent guys who said that he tested the headphone jack with a pair of speakers and it worked fine. I gathered up my headphones and extension cord and went down there to test it, and the sound plays fine now. o_O For about a month now, the sound has been getting progressively worse on the left side, going out whenever the cord was moved near the jack plug or the plug rotated. And now it's fine. O_o

Well, this means I'll be able to get Kisara started tonight. I think I'm going to settle for _shiroki_ryuu. The underscore in front seems to look better than placing it anywhere else. Maybe I should go register for that journal now.

...Well, now I can't get into the email account I made for her. >_> I'm positive I made an account, and I know the ID and I know it's one of three passwords. And my password recovery info isn't working. o_O

Hmm. This is not good. Perhaps it's my connection. I'll try again tonight.

...Oh, wait. You can't have underscores at the beginning of usernames anymore. Bah. Looks like I'll have to change it anyway. >_>
