2:02pm: Cardinals

There is a cardinal in the tree branches poking into the porch. She's peeping loudly and staring at Perrine, who is in turn staring out the back door, through the screen. I didn't see or hear her until her mate called out first; he moved farther away from the door, and she came in and started making lots of noise. (Admittedly, he's a lot easier to spot than she is, but I saw where she moved in from, and yes, she had been farther away.)

I wonder how close I can get with a camera. I'd like to get a shot without the screen door in the way, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Ow. Headache. Not @ 3LF, not catching up on flist, hope I set VCR right 'cause not watching telly; hoping neighbours don't get loud tonight. Ow.
