3:29am: Annoyed
Three o-fucking-clock in the morning, after multiple
polite requests, then strong hints, and finally yelling
at them, the noisy neighbours have finally hauled their
I-suspect-intoxicated asses into vehicles and driven off
someplace.
I waited until 0:30 to start asking them to quiet
down. People do like to enjoy their Friday nights,
after all. But maybe next time I should start earlier?
5:25am: QotD
Corporal Chisulo: "Since when is Schlock in charge,
Lieutenant?"
Lieutenant Michelle Diego-Garcia:
"Rule two[*]: A Sergeant in motion outranks a Lieutenant
who doesn't know what's going on."
-- from the
comic strip Schlock Mercenary by Howard Tayler,
2009-07-31
[*] The rule number suggests
that 'Chelle is quoting from
The Seven Habits of Highly Effective Pirates, which
includes such things as "Close air support covereth a
multitude of sins" (rule 4), and "Everything is air-droppable
at least once" (rule 11).
