New [16 Jun 2004|08:40am]
[ mood | enthralled ]

I am here in Olympia and have risen early. I am making a list everyday of things to do and slowly but surely accomplishing things on the lists.

I am so very happy now that I have found the love of my life. Her name is Alisa Moore... Ah-lee-sah.
She is from Liverpool, but resides in Amsterdam and she makes art. I do feel fulfilled nowadays for sure.

I am listening to April March right as I type this. It promises to be a beautious day in Olympia.

I will try and write more soon. Tomorrow, I play a show at Thug Mansion in Olympia. Hmmm... Thug Mansion? Ben Parrish lives there so it must be cool. Ben's punk band is called the Punks.

Halloween [01 Nov 2003|09:55am]
I went to Salem on Halloween.

The witch trials were tragic and several innocent people were murdered either on gallows hill or somewhere else.

One victim of the accusers refused to speak and consequently was "pressed" with stones upon his body till his rib cage collapsed.

On October 29th I visited Don Lennon and his girlfriend in Boston. We walked along the Mass
Ave bridge and Don pointed out the bridge measurements which were painted along the pedestrian walkway
which spans the length of the bridge. It is measured in "Smoots." There was a freshman with the last name of
"Smoot."

Athens, GA dream [17 Oct 2003|04:06pm]
[ mood | productive ]
[ music | April March ]

Today I am still in Athens, GA.

I dreampt that I was going to to take a plane to Europe. The plane took off and went high up into the night sky. I could see city lights below me and there was a song being played on the plane's sound system about flying and how good it was to fly. The combination of the smooth plane ride, the view of the earth below and the in-flight song lulled me into a state of serenity and wonder.

I think I wound up somewhere in the country where Richard Nixon's family had a ranch. I don't know what I was doing there, except that I could tell that they were just beyond a fence.

I had to take another flight and so I ordered a ticket, packed and thought out what time I would have to head to the airport. I wrote the information down somewhere.

Athens, GA [15 Oct 2003|08:50am]
I am right now at Missy Kulik's house.

Last night I had a dream that my aunt Sue had seen her father's ghost and that she was pretty amazed by it. I was visiting her and my 93 (I think she is 93 now) year old grandmother with my mom in the dream.

Also in the dream, there was an earthquake in the jungle and some pygmies got struck by meteorites. I was with my brother Dan and we were driving through the same jungle. I drove off a cliff with both of us in the car and the car landed on a little ledge just above the ground. We both got out of the vehicle and I pushed the car down to the ground. I climbed up to help my brother bring our things down (that we had been collecting in the jungle that day) afterwards. There were seahorses (dried out) and sea shells as well I believe.

New Orleans [12 Oct 2003|01:59pm]
I made it to New Orleans and it is good to be settled down in once place again. Tomorrow, I push off to Athens, GA and that should be a rather arduous trek I think.

I was in Lubbock the other day and I had a great time hanging out with my friends Steven and Melanie. Steven and I watched a funny DVD called "the Legend of Boggy Creek" circa 1975 that was this documentary that takes place in Arkansas among the swamps. It is basically really cheesy and about a half man-half hairy ape with three toes on each foot that roams the swamps and attacks farm animals. They showed it (the swamp monster) and it seemed funny since it was basically a man in a gorilla costume. Also, the soundtrack to that documentary is very funny. It is composed of folksy local shmocal music with a 70's edge to it and with lyrics dealing directly with the topic of the monster.

My show in Denton never happened. My show yesterday in New Orleans did not happen.

I went to Bourbon and Canal street and walked around the French Quarter. It is crazy and people throw beads at others from the drunken balconies above Bourbon street.

I'm playing at Nick's house which is uptown at 836 State at 7:30.

Texas [09 Oct 2003|12:37am]
I am in Lubbock, Texas now. I played a show at a place called Hastings which is a giant music/bookstore
cafe. My good friends Steven and Melanie were there as well as their friend Joseph. I am going to cover a Kinks song called Animal farm. I went to the Hi-D-Ho.

I played a show at the Koos Cafe in Long Beach, CA on 5 Oct Sun with Dressy Bessy and Photobooth. I enjoyed meeting the band Dressy Bessy.
They took photos of me which may be up at the website: www.dressybessy.com I think.
I played a show at Buffalo Records in Santa Barbara with Little Wings on 4 Oct Sat.

Pumpkin Patch [03 Oct 2003|01:37am]
Summer and I went and took Polaroids of each other in a nearby pumpkin patch and they turned out
really well I think. We then went to her workplace where I bought fake meat and gorged myself on it.
Summer bought me a soda pop.

After that, we went to Target and I got the nicest Halloween socks ever! They are women's
socks, but they really fit anyone in all actuality.

We went to the Halloween super store and I took Digital photographs of things and bought a suction cup
bat. Someone told me that it was not allowed to take photos in the store after I was about done taking
photos of rats, cats, ghouls, disembodied heads and glowing pumpkin faces in the glow-room there.

Summer and went to see the movie Lost in Translation.

Wed 1 October in PDX [03 Oct 2003|12:00am]
[ mood | blah ]
[ music | Bessie Smith ]

The show in PDX on the 1st of October was very interesting. I spent the previous
night after having driven back from Vancouver at my sister's
home in Seattle where I searched the internet.
I arrived in PDX at 5 right on time for the Scout Niblett show at Jackpot records by the Burnside Bridge.
I had actually never seen Emma Loise Niblett play before, but she was good and so I instantly became a fan. I was very glad to see Jason Traeger there.

I played at the Ozone records which is located on Burnside by two vintage stores. The booking person didn't
show up or anything and I thought that was really weird since he had totally seemed excited to have me play
there. After my show at which only one person showed up at I went to the Scout Niblett show at the Dunes with Julianna and Jason T.

At Scout's show people were being rude to Scout.

Vancouver, B.C. [01 Oct 2003|03:34am]
Today, I took the ferry from lovely Nanaimo to Vancouver. I parked in an area that said "9 to 3" and I thought
it would be o.k. but my car got towed away. I had to walk a long ways to a place underneath the Granville Bridge to a place called Buster's Towing. They made me pay $50. before they'd open up their gate. Someone mentioned to me that they moved into a flat and in a drawer they found several tickets.

I went to the design school in Vancouver, and OPAS art supply store near there is really good. I bought a nice box and some
bristol board to make my cherished comic book.
