A couple of weeks ago, MissM gave me five questions to answer on my blog. I'm going to take them one at a time.
Question 1: If you were to write an autobiography what would the title be?
The possibilities are, of course, endless. Much depends on whether I write an autobiography now, or later in life. I cannot imagine the use of writing an autobiography now, but if I did, its title would probably be Recollections of a short life.
Perhaps reading so many journal articles has had a detrimental effect, but I'd be sorely tempted to include a colon in the title, making it of the form pithy phrase – colon – explanation. Hymn fragments can be very useful in this regard, giving something like Safe thus far: reflections on becoming a theologian.
But of course, one can hardly write an autobiography without including the word journey in the title. So maybe it will have to be The eternal glories gleam afar: meditations on a cheerful journey.
