We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, because of the hope laid up for you in heaven. Of this you have heard before in the word of the truth, the gospel, which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing – as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth, just as you learned it from Epaphras our beloved fellow slave. He is a faithful servant of Christ on your behalf and has made known to us your love in the Spirit. (Colossians 3:3-8)
Thank you, Father, for my Christian brothers and sisters – at church and at college; in Victoria, Tasmania and elsewhere; in real life and online. Thank you for their faith, hope and love.
Thank you for allowing us to hear and accept the gospel. That you for those who first taught it to us – for parents, for pastors and for youth group leaders. Thank for all who faithfully preach your Word.
Thank you, Lord, that the good news has reached every country in this world, and is bearing fruit all over the globe. Thank you for missionaries and indigenous believers who are carrying out your work in difficult circumstances. Thank you for your plan to save people from every single people group and language group. Thank you that you are in control, and that your Kingdom will triumph.
And thank you for all those who love me, pray for me, and are partners with me in the gospel.
First, a cautionary tale for preachers:
Anyway, have you ever wanted to learn the Greek alphabet, but were too afraid to try? Now Radagast is blogging an introduction to it in 10 easy steps. The three letters to learn in lesson one are α, κ and ι.
I was wondering if I should blog an introduction to the Hebrew alphabet after I get back from Tasmania in January. It would have a higher degree of difficulty, but let me know if you're interested.
