I went into the city today. I wanted to see the "Treasures of the Rijkmuseum" exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria one more time before it closes. Last time was a bit rushed, and I didn't have much time to spend on in the last room of the gallery. This contained some wonderful winter scenes, like "Diversions on Ice", by Hendrick Avercamp:

As C. S. Lewis said in Surprised by Joy, "pure northernness engulfed me"...
Today I also went to Ormond and Whitley colleges to photocopy some articles for my OT essay. Whitley had a table with a whole lot of books and a sign saying, "FREE: Take as many as you want."
I took fifteen.
