I loved National Treasure. I mean, I'll watch any movie that mentions the Templars, but this was actually good - the thrill of the treasure hunt was palpable. Diane Kruger was gorgeous - I totally retract any remarks I may have made about hers hardly being the face that launched a thousand ships - while Nic Cage's dialogue was sardonically witty.
The film has a somewhat refreshing PG rating, and so I can recommend it even for kids. The prospective viewer must be warned, however, that watching it almost makes one want to join the Masons.
"You can tell a lunatic by the liberties he takes with common sense, by his flashes of inspiration, and by the fact that sooner or later he brings up the Templars." - Umberto Eco
