9:54PM - Websites XVI

I know, it was a bad thing to do. I've been very naughty. It's vain, it's arrogant, it's conceited. But I did a "vanity search" on Google this afternoon. And I got some interesting results, too. (It works better on resticting the search to Australian sites, though on a world-wide search my blog is number 2 behind an - ahem - adult movie star.)

Anyway, I found there the results of the 1995 Australian Mathematics Olympiad, the Tasmanian Christian Soccer Association's Top Goal-scorers of 1999, and a selection of St John's sermon tapes. Yep, that about sums up my life.

Most interesting, however, was the Tasmanian Law Reform Instititute's report on the Physical Punishment of Children. (This is a pdf file.) I hadn't actually seen the document before, but they were kind enough to mention my name. They said (page 39) that I "felt very strongly" that prohibiting physical punishment would amount to religious discrimination. They rejected the argument, though.

I guess I'd better read the the whole thing now, instead of just doing a search for my name...
