If ever there was a movie with the capacity to turn one into a Pharisee, Somersault is it. I walked out of the cinema thanking God that I was not like other men. Really, the people in this film were as twisted and annoying as one is likely to encounter in the world of film. I don't think I've ever wished for both the main characters to commit suicide before. It was very hard to sympathise with anyone in the movie.
Interestingly enough, it did feature a boy with Asperger's Syndrome, which is a condition that prevents the sufferer from feeling empathy with others...
