Finished "Uncharted Territory" by Connie Willis this morning. It's not her best, but it was still worth reading. It contains the title novella and two short stories, one of which - "Fire Watch" - is part of her time travel series, along with "To say nothing of the dog" and "Doomsday Book". It seems to be just about her earliest story - from 1982, my sources assure me - but I hadn't read it before. Anyway, Willis is brilliant in the way she handles the concept, and her characters - Kivrin, Mr Dunworthy, et al. - are wonderful.
Sometimes during my idler moments I amuse myself by wondering if anyone I know is actually a time-traveller from the future...
I had a wonderful time today with Chloe. Chloe is beautiful, gentle, and 18 years old. I think she might be Welsh. Anyway, I spent an hour on top of her, and it feels like we're starting to get to know each other. I'm really looking forward to being with her again next Monday.
Hopefully I can improve my trotting technique...
