My friend shyborg2000 told recently on her blurty how someone had come into her work (she's a waitress) and ordered a "cup of cino." You snicker, but it's a common mistake.
There's a similar mistake I have heard people make - referring to "expresso" coffee. Now, the thing that really gets me is that it is (sometimes) said by people who pride themselves on being serious coffee drinkers. Espresso drinkers tend to be a bit more snobbish than cappuccino drinkers, and so the error of pronunciation is even more inexcusable. Yes, I know I'm speaking in bold generalisations, but it does occur - some yuppie fancies himself as a connoisseur of fine coffee, and orders an 'expresso'.
All this seems to me to be a classic example of how ignorance is often proportional to arrogance. The less one knows, the more one thinks one knows. True knowledge involves realising how much more there is to learn.
