Function : Silverbird Berhad
Function was in Shangri-La KL for Silverbird Bhd. Met the Group MD Dato Jackson Tan and his wife. Nice man, very unassuming and part China-man too. Tonight's function had Joanne Yeoh (The violin player), a string quartet and also Ning Baizura. It was a relatively formal function since Silverbird was celebrating the fact that they are now moving from the 2nd board to the main board on KLSE.

Ning was pretty much in form tonight, belting out some popular numbers. Just before the show, I dared her to try a Whitney Houston song and she took me up on my dare - singing "Do it on my own". She's improved so much, and managed the song very well. She also belted out Kelly Clarkson's "A moment like this" as well. Good to see her back to her old natural form again...

Function ended at 11:00pm.

Footnote: Dato Tan invited me over to his new BreadCity, his spanking new bread factory which had cost him RM100 million to build. Apparently he's getting set to launch this new factory cum bread museum soon - after all, Silverbird recently took over the manufacturing and sales of High5 bread.
