yest was the last day of filming by the german crew which
also marks the end of my shift for this mth :D

i took a taxi to and from newater visitor centre, both taxi
uncles were really chatty... the difference? one condemn
gahmen... one praise gahmen... but well their topics i
think usually revolve ard the gahmen....

the first cabbie... an uncle in his late 40s or early 50s
talked abt COE and road tax... i guess it was triggered
by the fact that we were stuck in a jam along ECP.. he
grumbled that there were too many cars and building
more highways and putting more ERPs are useless..bcos
he said w/o the taxes and all where are the ministers'
pay gonna come from... after that he complained we
have too many ministers and they are paid too much..
ahhaha and everytime he asked "你说对吗？”。。wat
else can i say? 对对对! (i din tell him i work for the govt)

the other uncle when i boarded the taxi said newater is
good development... and he praised our leader's good
vision for creating marina barrage and another source
of water supply..

well i dun disagree esp not many ppl can have a 20yr
vision like MM... vision for the nation... and the uncle
told me to go get the book "Men in White" to read.. if
anyone of u decide to buy it... can i borrow it when u
are done?

he also told me that he used to work in stat board long
long time ago.... he mentioned abt bosses not wanting
to make decisions... and not wanting to attend meeting
and when things have been agreed upon at the meeting
they ask "why lidat" ... hahaha ..ppl like us are often
squash in the middle... do like this oso wrong.. do like
that oso wrong... need to pacify boss.. need to manage
consultants/vendors... he said one day he got so fed up
he threw in his resignation letter and left

i told him.. wat he has said is still apparent ..... he let
out a big laugh and said "20yrs already and still the
same"... hahaha...

wonder if there will be any changes 20yrs later... i will
tell u if i managed to stay on for another 16.5yrs.. lol~
